PayPal is expected to offer four interest-free bi-weekly payments for qualifying purchases. Longer terms of up to 24 months would also be available. Klarna plans include splitting costs into four installments or similar short-term options, often with the first payment due upfront.
Focus on Hardware and Current Status
The feature appears focused on hardware such as Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. It could expand over time, but current backend details emphasize console purchases.
This development arrives as conversations continue around pricing for future Xbox hardware, including the rumored Project Helix console. Direct BNPL support at the Xbox store would give customers more ways to manage larger upfront costs without needing third-party retailers.

Microsoft already offers PayPal Pay Later on its main store for Surface devices, PCs, and other products. The Xbox addition would bring the same style of financing to the gaming platform.
