Phoenix Reffaella is an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent from the Krampus Compliance Authority. She arrives in Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 and functions as a strong on-field Anomaly DPS who deals most of her damage through Ablooms while enabling team-wide Anomaly critical hits.

How Phoenix Works

Phoenix builds Burn Flame resources and spends them on heavy Burning Attacks. Her Core Passive grants extra Anomaly Proficiency and applies a Scorch status whenever any squad member deals Attribute Anomaly damage. Enemies under Scorch can take critical hits on Anomaly damage with a base critical rate of 30 percent and critical damage of 25 percent. Her Ablooms trigger when she hits targets already afflicted by other Attribute Anomalies, dealing high Attribute Anomaly damage of the matching element. She performs best with short field windows and frequent Anomaly triggers from teammates.

Best W-Engines

Her signature W-Engine, Nirvana Plume, is the clear best option. It provides Anomaly Mastery and a large amount of Anomaly Proficiency. Its passive also grants a sizable Fire damage increase whenever any squad member scores a critical hit with Attribute Anomaly damage. Solid alternatives include Angel in the Shell and Frostfall Sickle for their Anomaly Mastery and Proficiency stats. Weeping Gemini remains a strong free A-Rank choice that stacks Anomaly Proficiency from squad Anomaly triggers.

Drive Discs and Stats

The recommended Drive Disc setup is 4-piece Freedom Blues paired with 2-piece Phaethon's Melody. Freedom Blues reduces the target's Anomaly Buildup Resistance to Fire after an EX Special Attack, while Phaethon's Melody supplies the Anomaly Mastery Phoenix needs to push her Anomaly critical rate higher. Main stats should be Anomaly Proficiency on Disc 4, Fire DMG on Disc 5, and Anomaly Mastery on Disc 6. Substat priority is Anomaly Proficiency first, followed by ATK percent, then PEN. Phoenix does not need traditional Crit Rate or Crit DMG stats.

Phoenix performs best in full Anomaly teams. The strongest pairing is Phoenix, Remielle, and Velina. Remielle provides large ATK and Attribute Anomaly damage buffs while helping with Daze. Velina applies Wind Anomaly effects that feed Phoenix's Ablooms and offers additional stun utility. Other Anomaly supports such as Yuzuha can work as alternatives. Rocketboo is a reliable Bangboo choice because it increases Fire Anomaly Buildup.

Focus skill levels on Core Passive and Basic Attack first, then Chain Attack and Special Attack. Aim for roughly 255 Anomaly Mastery to reach the Anomaly critical rate cap. With the right team and discs, Phoenix becomes a high-damage Fire Anomaly carry who also boosts the entire squad's Anomaly output.
