Abyss Lector Fathomless Flames is a new elite foe the player can find in Genshin Impact as the 2.4 update has recently arrived. Once you have done getting the three fragments from the Evernight Temple, Serpent’s Head, and The Narrows, you will encounter this enemy underneath Watatsumi Island.

How to start Abyssal Lector Genshin boss fight

After obtaining the fragments from the complete "The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent", come back to Dainichi Mikoshi when it is Evernight and speak to Aru. The NPC shade would then activate an elevator in which you can glide down to enter deeper into the shrine.

It is here where you have to fight three Bathysmal Vishaps before meeting “Enjou Genshin Impact” or the Pyro Abyss Lector.

As he returns after you have eliminated the Vishaps, he will reveal his identity as a member of the Abyss Order.

Abyss Lector Fathomless Flames attacks

The most important thing to learn to defeat Enjou is knowing his attack patterns.

The Abyss Lector Fathomless Flames in Genshin Impact is similar to its Electro counterpart which usually relies on ground explosions and projectiles. Below are its abilities:

Flame Orb – Shooting several big fireballs at the player.
Flame Burst – Sending fire eruption from the ground.

If you get hit, it will apply the Brand of Abyssal Flames debuff. This will explode after a while and causes great damage to the whole team.

Abyss Lector weakness

For each minion and small tactic that the Pyro Abyss Lector Genshin, you can turn them against him with the right tips.

Once Enjou’s HP decreases to 25%, he will summon some Abyss Mages of Pyro and Cryo elements. Besides, he will have a Pyro Shield to protect itself and cast more often, including a Meteor Strike.

Genshin Impact Abyss Lector Fathomless Flames — Pyro Shield, Abyss Mages, and Dark Furnace are what you need to destroy to win.

Players can use Hydro-based attacks to break the shield. However, be alarmed of the Dark Furnace too. It’s a small crystalline thing floating near the Abyss Lector and looks akin to the objects appearing in the La Signora encounter.

The fight will come to an end once you manage to destroy the shield. After a short conversation, Enjou Genshin will teleport away.

Players can come back to Sangonomiya Shrine to give Tsuyoko the Bloodcoral Branch and finish the Enkanomiya main quest arc.

Note: Completing this arc will unlock the Bathysmal Vishap Herd battle in Dainichi Mikoshi, where you can farm the Dragonheir’s False Fin material for ascending Shenhe.

Also, when the player is finished with the arc, an NPC called Erebos will show up in Enkanomiya – Serpent’s Heart. You will be eligible to do the Erebos’ Secret quest chain.
