In Version 5.0 of Genshin Impact, weekly bounties are getting a makeover. Players can now select their preferred difficulty for Natlan targets directly. Genshin Impact, being a live service game, offers various repeatable activities, including the Spiral Abyss, Artifact Domains, and Bounties and Requests. The latter two are the main ways to earn Reputation Points, with each region having its own separate Reputation Level.

Each Reputation Level in Genshin Impact offers its own rewards, but reaching the highest level grants players a stylish glider that reflects the region's Archon or element. This will continue in Natlan with a new black-and-red glider inspired by Mavuika. While the way to earn Reputation Points hasn't changed, players will now be able to complete bounties more efficiently in Natlan.

In Natlan, players won't need to choose bounty difficulty through the Reputation NPC in the region's capital. Instead, they can select the difficulty on the spot. According to a leak from Jokerverse, although it’s not yet clear if each tribe in Natlan has its own bounty system, the bounty targets seem to be shared. This means players might be able to pick up and complete all three weekly bounties directly without needing to interact with the Reputation NPC, but the exact details are still being tested.

Genshin Impact's Bounty System About to Get Wild in Natlan

While the Fontaine era brought many quality-of-life improvements to Genshin Impact, Natlan is set to continue this progress. The new feature for Bounties aims to make the reputation system more streamlined, addressing the current perception of Requests and Bounties as tedious in an otherwise popular game. The introduction of the Imaginarium Theater shows that the developers are open to experimenting with core aspects of Genshin Impact, including adding more variety to the endgame content.

Natlan and Version 5.0 are set to launch on August 28, introducing three new characters to Genshin Impact’s expanding roster. Initially, the focus in Natlan will be on the Geo, Dendro, and Hydro Tribes, with the other three Tribes getting attention in Version 5.1 and Version 5.2. While it's not yet clear if the new Bounty system will lead to a larger overhaul in future updates, it definitely sets the stage for potential changes.
