From casual game developer Crevasse, we are getting Cessabit, a new friendly puzzle game with a hand-drawn art style.

For those who don’t know, Crevasse is a solo developer that’s mostly known for making small casual games — the likes of Aim Llama, Hyper Fruits, and Matchy Moods. Just from their titles, you can already tell what these games are about: Shooting, fruit chasing, and tile shifting. Cessabit, however, is very different than its older cousins. For one thing, its name isn’t too literal and clicky, and for another, it’s an incredibly entertaining puzzle game.

Cessabit literally translates to ‘stop raging’ in Latin, which basically means ‘calm’ or ‘tranquilize.’ In term of gameplay, this is a slow-paced experience in which you are presented with simple drawings consisting of many bold lines. Your task is to locate and interact with certain points within this drawing. As you do so, the scenery will change, and you’ll be granted the chance to take some short quizzes.

The entire game is presented in a hand-drawn art style

If you successfully complete all of that, you’ll be able to progress to the next level. On the other hand, if you fail at any point, everything will reset, forcing you to start over from the beginning again. Thankfully, there is no time limit nor penalty for repeated failures, so you’re free to take as long and retry as many times as you want. After all, this is a title designed to help you relax, so don’t stress on it too much.

The levels range from castles to everyday objects

The game features 24 distinct levels, ranging from castles, towns, temples, to more mundane things like everyday objects. Another interesting fact worth noting is that Cessabit doesn’t contain a single line of code. The developer made this game entirely with a game creating engine called Buildbox, which manages everything.

Cessabit is currently available on both Google Play and the App Store as a premium release that costs you a mere 1 buck (Rs 70). Of course, that means there will be no annoying ad included.
