Vodyanitsa is a 5-star Hydro catalyst support released in Version 7.1. She is the Prima Donna of Snezhnograd’s Korolevskiy Troupe and a Water Imp who heals, shreds resistance, and buffs Stellar Swirl, Cryo, and Hydro teams from off-field. If Vesna is the new carry, Vodyanitsa is the support who makes those teams comfortable.
Build her as a pure HP buffer. Personal damage does not matter. Stack HP, press Skill, swap out.
How her kit works
Elemental Skill, Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn, turns her into her Water Imp form, deals AoE Hydro, and starts Song of Ages Past. While that song is active she summons the Horn of Spring’s Call, which hops toward enemies and hits them with Hydro. Those hits lower Hydro and Cryo RES (about 30%) and periodically heal the active character based on Vodyanitsa’s Max HP. The on-fielder also gains interruption resistance. Skill cooldown is around 16 seconds.
Elemental Burst, Sink With Thee, is cheap healing and extra Hydro. It is optional. Do not build around it.
Her key passive, The Last Djeguako Songstress, turns Stellar Vortices into Wandering Vortices. When a Wandering Vortex forms or explodes, nearby enemies lose Anemo RES (about 35%) for 6 seconds. That is why she works in Vesna teams even as a Hydro unit. Out of combat she can hold Skill to swim on the water’s surface.
Talent priority is Skill only. Leave Burst and Normal Attack at low level.
Best weapons
Hymn of the Maelstrom is her signature and best in slot. It gives a huge HP% substat, Healing Bonus, extra Max HP, and an ATK buff to whoever is on field. The buff follows swaps, so it is more reliable than Thrilling Tales.
Strong alternatives:
- Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers (best F2P, 48% ATK to the next character at R5)
- Everlasting Moonglow
- Jadefall’s Splendor
- Prototype Amber (craftable HP and energy)
If you use Thrilling Tales, Vodyanitsa must be the last swap before your DPS.
Artifacts and stats
4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith is the default set. The 2-piece adds HP. The 4-piece gives the party 20% ATK whenever her off-field Skill hits, and the Horn refreshes that buff on its own. Song of Days Past is the backup if someone else already holds Tenacity.
Main stats: HP% sands, HP% goblet, HP% circlet. Healing Bonus circlet is fine if HP is already high.
Substats: HP%, flat HP, then a little Energy Recharge if you want Burst for comfort.
Aim for about 65,000 Max HP. That is the practical cap for her Hydro and Cryo damage bonus. Ignore Crit.
Best teams
Vodyanitsa is a flex support, not a team owner.
Stellar Swirl: Vesna, Odette, Cryo Traveler, Vodyanitsa. This is her intended 7.1 team. She trades some of Faruzan’s raw damage for healing, interruption resistance, and Anemo RES shred. Faruzan or Sucrose can replace Cryo Traveler if you already have two Cryo sources.
Freeze: Skirk, Escoffier, Furina, Vodyanitsa. Hydro and Cryo shred plus healing make her a strong fourth slot. Ayaka teams can use the same idea.
Other: She also fits Mizuki Stellar Swirl and some Sandrone lineups as a comfort last slot.
Avoid stacking too much extra Hydro in Stellar Swirl teams if it steals the Cryo aura Vesna needs.
Rotation
Cast Skill, swap off, stay off. Let the Horn attack, heal, and shred while the DPS plays. Burst only if it does not delay the carry.
C2 is the constellation to stop at. It adds 50% Crit DMG to Hydro and Cryo (60% to Stellar Swirl if a Wandering Vortex is up) and extends Skill duration by 9 seconds. C1 adds an ATK buff on heal. C6 spreads C2 to the whole party. Signature weapon still beats early constellations for most accounts.
Vodyanitsa is the better pull if your roster already has carries and needs a healer who also shreds and buffs. Stack HP, press Skill, and let the song run.
