Genshin Impact Chenyu Vale Map: Subareas, Puzzles, Enemies & More

Genshin Impact Chenyu Vale map will be unlocked in Update 4.4. This is a new region of interest in Teyvat with lots of new features and attractions. Let's check out everything to explore in Chenyu Vale here.

I. Chenyu Vale Subareas

Chenyu Vale is a large area between Fontaine and Liyue. It has three sub-areas, including Upper Vale, Southern Mountain, and Mt. Laixin, and more than 25 waypoints for quick teleporting around this map. It also has at least one Geo Archon's Statue like The Chasm.

Qiaoying Village, Yilong Wharf, Lingshu Courtyard, and Jademouth are famous locations in this area that you will visit during main quests about Chenyu Vale. Many of them were mentioned by playable characters and NPCs during old quests and events.

Zhongli commented that Qiaoying Village in the northwest of Liyue Harbor had a relaxing vibe. This village is also famous for its local tea as revealed by Zhiqiong in The Chasm. Besides, the upcoming playable character Gaming also loves traveling there. Yilong Wharf was also mentioned in an in-game mail of Kazuha.

II. Chenyu Vale Mechanics & Puzzles

Chenyu Vale also has many brand-new puzzles and exploration mechanics. They will bring more fun to the game in Genshin Impact 4.4. Let's learn how they work to get prepared for these new changes.

• Simulacra

There are two types of Simulacra in Chenyu Vale: Flightly Simulacra and Wrathful Simulacra. The Flightly Simulacra device makes the affected character lighter to jump higher than usual. The other device unleashes droplets with Adeptal Energy that lets you perform the Golden Carp's Leap, which means it propels you into the air.

• Millennia of History

The Millennia of History implies ancient ruins of historical remnants in Chenyu Vale. You must obtain Adeptal Energy scattered around it to fix these ruins and complete challenges to solve the puzzle. This type of energy is obviously important for exploration and puzzle-solving in this valley.

• Strange Phenomenon: Miasma

Miasma is an exclusive feature in the Chenyu Vale map. You always find this puzzle guarded by dangerous beasts and monster mobs. Travelers have to defeat these enemies and their leaders first. Then, use Adeptal Energy to purify the poisoned source of miasma.

• Scenes of Flowing Lotuses

Adeptal Energy is also used to light up scenes of flowing lotuses. It's another brand new exclusive puzzle device in this new map that gives you attractive rewards. You can always find Adeptal Energy around these Lotus-shaped puzzle devices. Sometimes, you need to find hidden energy.

• Jade Incense Cauldron

Travelers will also bump into the mechanisms called Jade Incense Cauldrons around Chenyu Vale when exploring this area. This device also requires Adeptal Energy to resonate with the cauldron and light the incense. When the puzzle is solved, you need to complete a challenge to obtain the hidden treasures.

III. Chenyu Vale Enemies & Wildlife

Chenyu Vale also has local wildlife and exclusive enemies. Genshin Impact will introduce two new exclusive bosses in Update 4.4.

• Solitary Suanni Boss: This illuminated beast uses both Hydro and Anemo elements to fight.
• Xuanwen Beast: This Adeptal beast often appears in the mountainous areas in Chenyu Vale.

Besides, you also see some new birds and animals in Chenyu Vale, such as the Fluff-Fleece Goat, Jadestone Turtle, and Redbull Pelican. They also give you some essential ingredients.

IV. Chenyu Vale Recipes

Chenyu Vale is famous for its local tea. The local people in this region also use fresh tea leaves in many recipes to make mouth-watering dishes. When exploring this peaceful valley, you can try many new recipes in this area, such as:

• Chenyu Brew (green tea);
• Fine Tea, Full Moon (a mooncake with tea-flavor pastry skin);
• Tea-Smoked Squab (main course);
• Jadevein Tea Eggs (bird eggs boiled in water with tea leaves).

Many playable characters and NPCs have unveiled that tea is the most well-known specialty in Chenyu Vale. It's also one of the greatest attractions of this region. Many merchants are also attracted to this valley to buy tea from local people.
