This will be her second extended absence in a few months. It's frustrating for fans of this Cryo support unit, even though she has a unique role in many team compositions.

Latest Genshin Impact 5.2 Leaks

A major leak from the well-known Genshin Impact leaker hxg_diluc reveals that Shenhe won’t return on a rerun banner in the Genshin Impact 5.2 update. This will be the longest any five-star character has been absent in the game’s history, as she last appeared in Version 3.5 alongside Ayaka.

Shenhe, the newest character introduced in Version 2.4, has quickly become a favorite among fans for her ability to boost Cryo damage for allies. This makes her an essential support character, especially for Cryo teams. Players often pair her with top Cryo DPS characters like Ganyu or Ayaka, as she enhances Cryo damage and reduces enemy Cryo resistance. Despite her popularity, her long absence is frustrating fans.

What’s more, there won't be a Shenhe rerun because of a larger trend in the game. It’s been nearly a year since Genshin Impact introduced a new five-star Cryo character, with the last one being the four-star character Charlotte in Version 4.2.
