Fresh details from the Genshin Impact beta show that Version 6.2 is rolling out some hefty upgrades for seven Mondstadt characters. You can pick these up through a brand-new quest line. Genshin Impact launched back in September 2020, and it's come a long way in the last five years. The starting cast was pretty basic, but now it's packed with over 100 playable characters—and honestly, not every one of them has kept pace with the updates. A few 4-Stars like Xingqiu and Bennett are still must-haves in squads from Natlan and Nod-Krai, but loads of those original characters dropped when HoYoverse was still tweaking how the combat and mechanics clicked.

That's where Version 6.2 steps in as Genshin Impact's initial push to drag some of these early picks back into top-tier play with a fresh faction mechanic. Seven characters from Mondstadt are picking up a unique Hexenzirkel tag in Version 6.2. It hands them bonuses when grouped together, plus broader tweaks to their skill sets for smoother gameplay. Beta footage, for instance, spotted Venti pulling off Anemo hypercarry duty, or Mona taking point as an on-field driver for Hydro reactions.
Genshin Impact: Hexenzirkel Characters Added in Version 6.2
- Durin – 5-Star Pyro Sword
- Venti – 5-Star Anemo Bow
- Albedo – 5-Star Geo Sword
- Mona – 5-Star Hydro Catalyst
- Klee – 5-Star Pyro Catalyst
- Fischl – 4-Star Electro Bow
- Razor – 4-Star Electro Claymore
- Sucrose – 4-Star Anemo Catalyst
Honey Impact reports that you'll jump into a new Mondstadt storyline starring Lisa and Alice. Grab The Little Witch's Dictionary from the Witch's Homework quest chain, and it'll open up ways to activate buffs for Venti, Albedo, Mona, Klee, Fischl, Razor, and Sucrose. Take Albedo—his Geo Construct keeps dishing out damage even after it's wrecked. Or Fischl, who'll toss ATK buffs to Overload teams or Elemental Mastery to Electro-Charged ones.

Version 6.2 is also bringing Durin into Genshin Impact as an extra Hexenzirkel member. Some Constellation buffs work across the whole group, but to squeeze the most from these upgrades, you'll need at least two Hexenzirkel characters on your team. It could cramp your team comps a little, but the Genshin Impact crowd has been warming up to these kit refreshes pretty nicely.
If Version 6.2 manages to breathe new life into these classic Genshin Impact characters, HoYoverse might widen the Hexenzirkel roster down the line. For the moment, keep an eye out for pulls on Durin and Venti via the Event Banners in Version 6.2 of Genshin Impact. Expect the devs to unpack everything in the Live Program Announcement on November 21, 2025, with the update itself slated for December 3, 2025.
