A fresh leak about Genshin Impact has spilled some details on when we might see two fan-favorite characters, Varka and Alice, hit the playable roster, along with their team roles. With the Natlan arc wrapping up, players are pumped to find out what’s next for the game’s big new region.
Adding a new major region is always the highlight of the year for Genshin Impact fans. It brings a bunch of new stuff to check out, like fresh areas to explore, new characters to play, and juicy storylines. HoYoverse hasn’t officially said which region is coming next, but their recent teasers have dropped some clues about where the story’s headed with update 6.0.
Over the past few months, HoYoverse has been putting out promos that point to Nod-Krai as the first region players will get to dive into with the next big update. Alongside this, they’ve hinted at some iconic characters finally becoming playable after years of buzz. Varka and Alice are the standouts here. A reliable leaker, Team Mew, shared some juicy info about Varka, Alice, and a mystery character named Nicole. The leak says Varka’s coming as an Anemo DPS in Version 6.5, Nicole will join as a Cryo support in 6.6, and Alice is set to drop as a Pyro DPS in 6.7, probably around this time next year.
Genshin Impact: Varka, Alice, and Nicole Release Dates and Roles Leaked
- 6.5 – Varka (Anemo DPS)
- 6.6 – Nicole (Cryo Support)
- 6.7 – Alice (Pyro DPS)
Varka’s been name-dropped since Genshin Impact launched. He’s the Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius and Mondstadt’s big protector, but players haven’t met him yet since he’s off on some northern expedition. With Nod-Krai likely being north of Mondstadt, it seems like we’ll get to explore more of the Anemo region soon.
Since Varka’s such a key figure in Mondstadt, it makes sense he’d be an Anemo character, given that’s the region’s signature element. As for Alice, the game’s lore paints her as one of Teyvat’s most powerful mages, so she might end up as a catalyst user like her daughter, Klee.
It tracks that Varka and Alice would be DPS units, since HoYoverse tends to give that role to its most popular characters. Still, don’t take these leaks as gospel. We’ll get the real scoop when Genshin Impact update 6.0 drops.
