Genshin Impact 2.7 Leak: Yelan, Kuki Shinobu Coming Out

Three new characters have been revealed during a recent leak: Yelan, Kuki Shinobu and Heizou. Amongst them, the first two are likely to come out during the 2.7 patch, scheduled for May 2022. In this article, we are going to showcase everything available so far about Yelan and Kuki Shinobu.

1. Yelan Release Date

Apparently, Yelan is going to be the 5-star of 2.7, while Kuki Shinobu is the 4-star in her banner. While neither Kuki Shinobu or Heizou got their models leaked, the same can't be said for Yelan. Her complete model and character designs have been leaked by an anonymous source:

It is likely that she would be part of the first banner of 2.7, which is somewhere at the start of May 2022.

2. Yelan character design

Overall, we don't know much about Yelan at the moment, with the only fact available about her being that she is a Hydro bow user. Her clothing and color scheme actually resemble Kaeya greatly, with a little bit of inspiration from Mona.

So far, fans believe that she is a Liyue character, who is related to the Genshin Impact Chasm storyline. However, her outfits resemble that of the Knights of Favonius, so she might actually be a Mondstadt character. None of this is confirmed by miHoYo yet so everything you see here can change later.

Yelan's weapon is the Kirin Bow, which makes her a Hydro Bow character. The appearance of the bow has also been leaked, but nothing else is available yet.

3. About Kuki Shinobu and Heizou

Kuki Shinobu

Kuki Shinobu is the sidekick of Arataki Itto and Deputy of the Arataki Gang and the younger sister of Miyuki. She is leaked to be part of the 2.7 update alongside Yelan, but neither her elements nor her skills are available yet.

In a previous leak, the following character design has been attributed to her. It is likely that Kuki Shinobu is going to have the same body type as Sayu and Qiqi.

Heizou

Several unverified sources from NGA who have accurately leaked some content in the past are now claiming that Heizou is a four-star Anemo character.

With the upcoming 5-stars being Ayato and Yelan, it is not a surprise that Heizou becomes a 4 star support, however, players are skeptical about him being Anemo. Furthermore, the leakers also claim that Heizou might use a Catalyst, which makes him have a similar playstyle to Sucrose.

If this leak actually comes true, it is likely that Heizou would be the best support character for Xiao, who has been getting a lot of love lately. In the upcoming update, the 5 star Anemo DPS is going to get a new artifact set dedicated to his skill set.
