Genshin Impact's latest post on HoYoLAB has shared a lot of details about the new region, including concept art and in-game screenshots. This new area is called Ochkanatlan, or "The Fabled Forbidden Ground." It's described as an ancient city hidden in thick fog, with a powerful dragon lurking deep within. The post also mentions that the region is corrupted by the Abyss, one of the game's main enemy factions. In addition to the "great dragon," players can expect to encounter other, weaker dragons as well.
Genshin Impact Teases Legendary Dragon & Aerial Adventures in Update 5.2
It looks like players won't just explore the depths of Ochkanatlan's ancient city. According to legend, a secret is also hidden in the skies above, and one of the screenshots shows that players will be able to soar high above the city. Many fans are speculating about the identity of the great dragon, with some hoping it's the Pyro Dragon, one of the Seven Sovereigns in Genshin Impact.
It wouldn't be surprising if the great dragon is tied to one of the Seven Sovereigns, especially since the previous Archon Chapter introduced Neuvillette, a reincarnation of the Hydro Dragon. Some fans have even expressed interest in seeing a Pyro version of Neuvillette in the game, especially given his reputation as one of the strongest Hydro DPS units in Genshin Impact.
To tell the truth, Neuvillette could make an appearance in the game soon, as HoYoverse has confirmed he'll be featured on the Phase 2 banner in Genshin Impact Version 5.2. The first part of the update will introduce two new playable characters: the five-star Anemo DPS Chasca and the four-star support character Ororon, both of whom are expected to arrive on November 20.
