Monetization System
Overall, Genshin Impact is a Free-To-Play open-world game, which is something pretty rare in the mobile market... as those games usually have pretty high system requirements. The monetization system for Genshin is a lootbox-like "Gacha" system, in which you use the game's premium currency to get rare characters and weapons.
As there is no PVP, it is not super crucial for you to get every character in the game - you can just play around and use whatever characters you got from the Gacha. You can definitely beat the game with the starter characters.
World Design
The map is huge - the original version would take you over 30 hours to explore everything... and miHoYo is constantly updating the game with new regions. Travel across the colorful and beautiful world of Teyvat, climb mountains, swim across rivers... or gliding all over the place...

Gameplay
There are a lot of different characters, each with their own skills, ability and quirk... enough for all your fetishes. The combat system is pretty weird - you control a party of 4 characters... but not at the same time - you have to switch in and out between them... and this is where the Elemental Combo system comes in.
The 7 elements in Genshin Impact interact with each other in various different ways. Overall, it is based on videogame logic - a character doused with water would take more damage from lightning... or blob monsters can be frozen with ice then shattered.
Your attacks would also affect the environment as well - Ice attacks can freeze water while Fire attacks can burn grass.
There is a Co-Op system in which you can explore the world and doing quests with friends as well.
