The Archer and Fate/Stay Night collab dropped on July 11, and it’s a big deal! Archer is a free 5-star character you can grab, rocking the Quantum element and following The Hunt path.
Archer Overview
Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Path: The Hunt
Type: Quantum
Archer isn’t your typical button-masher. He’s a Skill Point-eating beast with a 360% damage multiplier on each Skill, which he can spam up to 5 times in a row. He’s all about going hard and fast.
His playstyle is centered on hammering Skills constantly, with damage that scales off high ATK and Crit DMG. If you’ve used similar characters, he’ll feel familiar, but heads-up—he burns through Skill Points like crazy. Pair him with teammates who generate Skill Points or don’t hog them. Speed isn’t a big deal for him; just let his teammates’ buffs and SP generation do the heavy lifting. He’ll use up all the SP on his turn and chill until the next cycle. Meanwhile, your squad’s Ultimates can help refill SP.
Trace & Skills Priority
Archer DMG Contribution
To make Archer shine, level up his traces in the right order. Here’s the plan:
- Skill – His bread-and-butter for damage. You’ll use it every turn since he’s a Skill Point hog. Level this up first to pump up the damage. Max it out ASAP.
- Ultimate – His Ult is a massive burst attack. Leveling it boosts that big hit, making it his strongest single move. Get both Skill and Ult to level 10 eventually, alternating between them early to keep them balanced.
- Talent – This passive adds extra battle effects like follow-up attacks and SP recovery. After maxing Skill and Ult, bump this to level 8–10 for a nice DPS boost.
- Basic Attack – You’ll barely use this unless you’re totally out of SP. Keep it low-level early on and only upgrade it later if you’ve got extra resources.
Priority: Skill > Ultimate > Talent > Basic Attack

Archer’s signature weapon is tailor-made for him and totally free if you spend 200 Special Passes in 3.4. If you don’t have it, no sweat—weapons with CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG work great too. Here are some solid backups:

Archer Relics, Ornaments & Stats
Relic Sets
Best Choice
Genius of Brilliant Stars
2-Piece Bonus: Boosts Quantum DMG by 10%.
4-Piece Bonus: Ignores 10% enemy DEF when dealing DMG. If the enemy has Quantum Weakness, ignores an extra 10% DEF.
Since Archer’s all about Quantum damage, this set pumps up his damage, especially against Quantum-weak enemies, which pop up a lot in endgame. The DEF ignore makes his single-target hits brutal. It’s the same set Seele uses for top-tier Quantum DPS, so it’s perfect for Archer.
Alternatives
Scholar Lost in Erudition
2-Piece Bonus: Boosts CRIT Rate by 8%.
4-Piece Bonus: Increases Skill and Ult DMG by 20%. After using Ult, the next Skill’s DMG increases by 25%.
This set boosts Crit Rate and makes Skills and Ults hit harder. Since Archer spams his Skill, it’s a strong second choice, almost as good as Brilliant Stars.
Mix 2-piece Sets (Flex)
Genius of Brilliant Stars (2-Piece): +10% Quantum DMG.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat (2-Piece): +12% ATK.
This combo is a decent placeholder until you farm a full 4-piece Genius set.
Ornaments
Best Choice
Rutilant Arena
2-Piece Bonus: Boosts CRIT Rate by 8%. If CRIT Rate is 70% or higher, Basic ATK and Skill DMG increase by 20%.
With a Crit Rate of 70% or more (possible with good substats, Light Cone, or team buffs), this set seriously boosts Archer’s sustained damage.
Alternatives
- Space Sealing Station
2-Piece Bonus: Boosts ATK by 12%. If SPD is 120 or higher, ATK increases by another 12%.
Easy to trigger with decent boots and minor buffs, making it a reliable damage boost. - Inert Salsotto
2-Piece Bonus: Boosts CRIT Rate by 8%. If CRIT Rate is 50% or higher, Ult and Follow-up ATK DMG increase by 15%.
Great for powering up Archer’s Ult and follow-up attacks, but Rutilant’s Skill buff usually has a bigger impact. - Celestial Differentiator
2-Piece Bonus: Boosts CRIT DMG by 16%. If CRIT DMG is 120% or higher, CRIT Rate increases by 60% until the end of the first attack.
Awesome for one-turn kills or short fights, but less useful in long battles. Use it if your Crit Rate is high and you want a strong opening hit.

Recommended Archer Eidolons
- E1: 20%+ Boost – Restores 2 SP every 3 Skill uses in one turn. Super handy for flexibility, letting you squeeze in extra damage or set up plays.
- E2: 25%~33% Boost – Drops enemy resistance by 20% and adds Quantum Weakness with Ult. But the 220 Energy cost limits its use, especially in multi-target fights.
- E4: 15%+ Boost – More about nostalgia than damage, with artwork that hits Fate fans right in the feels.
- E6: 20%+ Boost – Grants 1 SP per turn, boosts Skill DMG stacking (200% to 300%), and ignores 20% enemy DEF.
Priority: E0S0 > E0S1 > E1S1 > E6S1. If you’ve got enough Stellar Jade for Phainon or other 3.4 reruns, you can snag Archer’s SLC after 200 pulls.
Archer Teams
Focus on SP generation to keep Archer’s rotation smooth, with a secondary focus on offensive Ultimates or off-turn follow-up attacks to trigger his Talent’s follow-up hits during Circuit Connect.
Best Team
Main DPS: Archer (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Sub DPS: Sparkle (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Support: Cipher (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Healer: Aventurine (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Sparkle’s Ult refills SP, Cipher adds vulnerability and True DMG, and Aventurine keeps the team alive while boosting Crit DMG. Huohuo’s a good swap to charge Archer’s Ult faster.
Mono Quantum Team
Main DPS: Archer (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Support: Sparkle (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Support: Silver Wolf (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Healer: Aventurine (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Silver Wolf amps Quantum damage by applying Quantum Weakness, even to non-weak enemies, triggering Genius of Brilliant Stars’ DEF ignore. She also lowers enemy DEF and adds debuffs. Pair her with low-SP users or SP generators like Sparkle, Cipher, Jade, Tribbie, or healers like Aventurine or Hyacine.
F2P Team
Main DPS: Archer (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Support: Hanya (⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Support: RMC (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Healer: Gallagher (⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Hanya’s SP generation is perfect for Archer, RMC dishes out True Damage, and Gallagher’s a solid free healer. This triple-support setup needs a strong RMC and tight rotation management.
Conclusion
Archer’s a beast at single-target damage, and his strength grows with the right support. He doesn’t bring fancy debuffs or buffs himself, but in tough endgame content like Memory of Chaos, he’s your go-to guy. Build him with these tips, team him up right, and he’ll slice through enemies like a hot knife through butter.
