Honkai: Star Rail's upcoming version 3.8 is shaping up to be a boon for Break Effect enthusiasts, with the introduction of The Dahlia (also known as Constance), a stunning 5-star Fire character on the Path of Nihility. Her leaked kit positions her as a premier Super Break support, capable of converting enemy toughness reduction into massive Super Break damage instances, applying zones for amplified effects, and providing team-wide utility like Break Effect buffs and SP recovery. She's rumored to synergize exceptionally with Firefly, potentially dethroning Ruan Mei in Super Break teams, while offering broader value for units like Boothill and Rappa.
At Level 80, The Dahlia boasts solid support stats: HP: 1037, ATK: 609, DEF: 607, SPD: 96.

Core Abilities
Basic Attack: Manipule. Fissured Memory
Deals Fire DMG equal to 100% of The Dahlia's ATK to a single enemy. A standard Nihility basic – reliable but unremarkable, focused on energy generation.
Skill: Fiery Trail. Incendiary
Activates a Zone lasting 3 turns. Within the zone:
- Deals Fire DMG equal to 160% of The Dahlia's ATK to the target enemy and adjacent enemies.
 - 50% of Weakness Break DMG received by enemies (who are not fully Weakness Broken) is converted to Super Break DMG.

This is the heart of her kit: area application of Fire DMG alongside passive Super Break conversion, making her a toughness-shredding machine without needing full breaks.
Ultimate: Deepen. Buried Whispers
Inflicts Wither on all enemies for 4 turns (reducing their DEF by 18%). Then deals Fire DMG equal to 300% of The Dahlia's ATK, distributed across all enemies. Enemies under Wither also gain Weaknesses matching all teammates' elements.
AoE DEF shred + multi-Weakness application turns her Ult into a setup powerhouse, enabling faster breaks across the team.
Talent: Who Has Constant?
- Upon entering combat (with The Dahlia in the party), grants a Break Effect buff to the ally with the highest Break Effect (as long as no other "Dance Companion" is on-field – likely Nihility flavor text).
 - When that ally Weakness Breaks an enemy, toughness reduction from their ATK is converted to a 60% Super Break instance.
 - After that ally attacks, The Dahlia launches an Extra Attack: 5 instances of Fire DMG. On enemies with Weakness Broken, each instance's toughness reduction converts to 200% Super Break DMG (once per turn). If the ally is defeated, it targets a random enemy instead.

This reactive Extra Attack loop is broken (pun intended), frontloading Super Break without full breaks – perfect for Firefly's enhanced mode or Boothill's Physical bursts.
Technique: The Heart is More Beautiful in the Tomb

Creates a special Dimension (20 seconds): Enemies inside won't attack allies. Upon combat start with affected enemies, The Dahlia immediately activates her Skill's Zone, and 60% of Super Break DMG against Weakness Broken foes is amplified. Only one such Dimension per ally team.
Insane pre-fight setup for elite/boss ambushes.
Traces & Passives
- Break Effect: 37.3% (core stat).
 - Effect RES: 18%.
 - HP: +10%.

Major Traces:
| Trace Name | Effect |
|---|---|
| More One Funeral | On combat entry, boosts allies' Break Effect by 24% of The Dahlia's BE + 50% (1 turn; refreshes to 3 turns on receiving heals/shields from allies, once per turn). |
| Lament, Lost Soul | Talent Extra Attacks recover 1 Skill Point for allies (every 2 Extras). |
| Super Enemy, Embrace the New | Ally applying Weakness boosts their SPD by 30% (2 turns). Fire characters also regen 10% max Energy (if under 50%; once/character/turn). |
Signature Light Cone: Never Forget Her Flame (5-Star Nihility)

- Lv80 Stats: HP 1164, ATK 529, DEF 463.
 - Effect: +60% Break Effect to wearer. +32% Break DMG to wearer + (ally who triggered combat or has highest BE).
 - SP Recovery: Regain 1 Skill Point when an ally applies Weakness (resets on Ultimate).

Pairs perfectly, flooding teams with SP for spam-heavy Break comps.
Playstyle & Synergies
The Dahlia thrives in Super Break teams:
- Firefly Hypercarry: Her Fire Weakness app, Extra Attacks, and energy/SP gen make Firefly unstoppable.
 - Boothill/Rappa Flex: Physical/Follow-up Break benefits from zone conversion and traces.
 - Sample Team: The Dahlia + Firefly + Fugue + Lingsha/Ruan Mei.

She's less niche than feared, buffing any Break DPS via conversions and utility, but shines brightest with Firefly.
Final Thoughts
If these leaks hold, The Dahlia could revitalize Super Break, addressing toughness bloat and making it a direct DPS archetype. Firefly mains are rejoicing, but her generalist tools might elevate the entire meta. Who are you pulling for in 3.8? Stay tuned for official reveals!
