Version 5.x is still months away, but leak channels have already started circulating a new Path and a first wave of units built around it. The short version is this: Finality is expected to become playable during the 5.x cycle, and the earliest kits point to a team-wide Burst system rather than a simple new DPS class.
None of this is official. The kits below are described as early development versions, and leakers themselves keep saying the numbers and even some names can change before any 5.x beta.

What the original 5.x leak actually said
The first concrete Path claim came from Seele Leaks in late July 2026. After Elation went live in 4.x, the next playable Path in 5.x is expected to be Finality. The exact patch is not locked. Some coverage treats 5.0 as the likeliest debut, because that is how Elation launched with 4.0. Other writeups leave the window open across the whole 5.x arc.
A second leak, from DK2 through HxG, landed around the same time: 5.x will also give several older characters new SP forms, and one of those SPs will be an Astral Express crew member. The community immediately tied those two claims together. A new Path needs a first roster, and HoYoverse has already used remakes plus the Trailblazer to seed Remembrance and Elation. That is why most 5.x discussion now treats Finality and the next SP wave as the same project.
In the story, Finality belongs to Terminus, an Aeon said to exist in the future and travel backward through time. The Path is framed as the opposite of Trailblaze. The Stellaron Hunters walk it in lore, which is why Firefly and Kafka keep showing up in these leaks.
How Finality combat is supposed to work
The later kit posts all share one core system.
Finality Gauge
This is a team resource, currently described as ranging from 0 to 200. Finality characters generate it. When the gauge hits 100 or higher, the team can enter Burst Mode.
Burst Mode
This is the Path’s power state. Finality units get enhanced effects, extra Toughness or damage interactions, and in some kits extra Speed. Charge from certain Leader Talents cannot be gained while Burst Mode is already active, which suggests the mode is meant to be cycled rather than left on forever.
Leader Talent
Several leaked kits include a Leader effect. The current leader changes how the team fills the gauge and what Burst Mode does. That is a new layer compared with Remembrance summons or Elation Punchlines.
Action bar presence
One kit summary also says Finality itself appears on the action bar when a Finality character is on the team, with its position tied to those characters’ Speed. If that survives, Speed will matter both for turns and for how fast Burst Mode comes online.
Leakers also describe three planned playstyles under the same Path:
- Break Finality, led by Firefly SP
- DoT Finality, led by Kafka SP
- Follow-up Finality, still unnamed
That last point is important. Finality is not leaking as “the new Break Path.” It is leaking as a shared Burst wrapper that can host several old archetypes.
The characters with actual kit text so far
Finality Trailblazer (Imaginary)
This is the most complete support leak. Finality Trailblazer is Imaginary and is built to keep Burst Mode alive for other Finality units.
Reported kit pieces:
- Basic ATK deals Imaginary damage to one enemy.
- Enhanced Basic ATK hits all enemies, then bounces extra Imaginary damage onto a random target.
- Skill applies Finality Invite to one ally. That buff raises ATK and Break Effect, and it also raises that ally’s Burst damage. Only the most recent Skill target keeps the Invite.
- Ultimate raises all allies’ Speed for several turns and adds 100 to the Finality Gauge.
- On Burst Mode entry, all Finality characters get a 100% action advance.
- During Burst Mode, Trailblazer reduces enemy DEF, increases Toughness reduction taken by enemies, and enhances their own Basic ATK.
The role is clear even with placeholder numbers. This form is the Harmony Trailblazer equivalent for Finality: a battery, an action-advance button, and a Burst enabler.
Firefly SP (Fire Finality)
Firefly SP is the first named Finality DPS, and she is still a Break unit. Dimbreath and Sakura Haven posted an early kit with a heavy warning that it is still being rewritten.
Reported kit pieces:
- Basic ATK is single-target Fire damage.
- Skill hits all enemies and implants one random Weakness, with priority on Fire and on types the target does not already have.
- Enhanced Skill hits in a blast pattern, scales with Break Effect, then deals extra Break damage once per Weakness the enemy currently has. After that, implanted Weaknesses are removed.
- Ultimate hits all enemies, scales with Break Effect, then deals extra Fire Break damage based on Weakness types the enemy is missing, and implants those missing Weaknesses.
- Talent implants a random Weakness when Firefly SP’s turn starts, when a Burst Mode ally’s turn starts, or when a Burst Mode ally uses a Follow-up ATK.
- Leader Talent: if Firefly SP is leader, ally Toughness reduction fills the Finality Gauge. In Burst Mode she gains flat Speed and extra Break Effect.
The idea is more aggressive than current Firefly. Instead of only forcing Fire Weakness and Super Break, this version keeps rewriting the enemy’s Weakness board and then cashing those Weaknesses in as extra Break hits.
Seele Leaks also framed her as the center of a rebuilt Penacony Break team: Firefly SP, Finality Trailblazer, “Breaker,” and a new Finality Lingsha.
“Breaker” (likely Fugue SP, Fire or Wind Finality)
Sakura Haven posted this kit under the temp name Breaker. Seele Leaks separately identified Fugue as that slot. Element is listed as Fire or Wind, which is a sign the kit is still unfinished.
Reported kit pieces:
- Basic ATK deals Fire damage to one enemy.
- Skill applies a teamwide enemy Debuff, then deals Fire damage to all enemies. Debuffed targets lose DEF and gain Fire Weakness.
- Ultimate raises damage taken based on Death Mark stacks, then deals Fire damage to all enemies.
- Leader Talent: if Breaker is leader, Toughness reduction from ally Finality characters fills the gauge. During Burst Mode, allies gain Weakness Break Efficiency and can reduce Toughness even on unmatched Weaknesses. Breaker also gains Speed in Burst Mode, and Burst Mode allies deal extra Wind damage plus extra Toughness reduction that scales with Death Mark and the target’s max Toughness.
If this is Fugue, the job is familiar. She is still the Break enabler, just rewritten around Finality Gauge, Death Mark, and Burst Mode instead of Foxian Prayer and Cloudflame Luster.
Lingsha, Finality healer
This one has a role, not a published skill list. Seele Leaks says the Penacony Break core is being rebuilt with Lingsha as a new Finality sustain. No Basic, Skill, or Ultimate text has been posted in the same detail as Firefly SP or Breaker. Treat her as “planned Finality healer for the Firefly team,” not as a finished kit.
Kafka SP, DoT Finality
Kafka does not have a full public Finality kit yet. What exists is the playstyle claim: if Firefly SP stays Break, Kafka SP stays DoT. A separate leak line puts it plainly: Break-Finality Firefly, DoT-Finality Kafka, and a Follow-up Finality line as well.
That matches the wider 5.x SP rumor that names Kafka among the next remakes. Until a full kit drops, Kafka SP is a confirmed topic, not a confirmed moveset.
Names that sit next to Finality, but are not fully attached yet
A later anonymous list, shared by HxG, names five 5.x SPs: Firefly, adult Misha, Kafka, Dan Heng, and March 7th. That list is weaker than the Seele Path leak. It does not say every name is Finality, and coverage has been careful to call the source anonymous.
What can be said without stretching:
- Firefly and Kafka are the two names that keep getting tied to Finality on purpose, because they are Stellaron Hunters.
- March 7th already has Evernight. A second SP in 5.x is possible, but her Path is not specified in the Finality kit posts.
- Dan Heng would become a four-version character if the list is real. Again, no Finality kit.
- Adult Misha is the odd one out. The same reports treat it as a Penacony story hint more than a Finality kit hint.
- The unnamed Express crew SP from the earlier DK2 leak is still unnamed. Community consensus often points at Welt by elimination. That is a guess, not a leak.
There is also a “Finality Event” post from Sakura Haven. It says Luocha and Hunt March 7th were planned for that event and had not been implemented yet. That is event data, not a statement that either character is joining the Path.
The team picture leakers are selling
If you collapse the late-August posts into one lineup, the first Finality team looks like a remake of the old Penacony Break core:
- Firefly SP as Break carry
- Finality Trailblazer as Burst battery and action advance
- Breaker / Fugue SP as Weakness and Toughness support
- Lingsha as the new Finality healer
Kafka SP is the second pillar, not the first team. Follow-up Finality is the third pillar and still has no face.
That structure explains why these leaks feel bigger than a single banner rumor. The Path is being discussed as a full team engine with a leader, a shared gauge, and multiple sub-archetypes.
What is still missing
A lot.
No official splash art. No banner order. No 5.0 versus 5.1 versus later 5.x split. No finished multipliers. No Light Cones. No relic set. No confirmation that Fugue is definitely “Breaker.” No Kafka kit. No Lingsha kit. No named Follow-up Finality unit. No official statement that Finality will even be playable.
The most reliable layer right now is the Path itself plus the shared Burst/Gauge language that keeps repeating across independent kit posts. The least reliable layer is any numbered list of five SPs with no kit attached.
How to read all of this
HoYoverse has a pattern. New worlds often bring a new Path, and the Trailblazer plus a few remakes usually teach players the new rules. Remembrance did that in 3.x. Elation did that in 4.x. Finality in 5.x fits that pattern, which is why the Seele leak landed as hard as it did.
The character names fit the lore just as cleanly. Stellaron Hunters already walk Finality in the story. Giving Firefly and Kafka playable Finality forms is the most obvious way to put that Path on a banner.
But early HSR kits change constantly. Firefly SP’s current text even says it is more unfinished than usual. If you are planning pulls, treat this as a map of what leakers are testing, not as a 5.x roster sheet.
Bottom line: the 5.x Finality leaks so far point to a new playable Path built around a shared Finality Gauge and Burst Mode. The first named pieces are Imaginary Finality Trailblazer, Fire Firefly SP, a Fugue-like “Breaker,” a Finality Lingsha, and a DoT Kafka SP still waiting on a full kit. Everything else is either a broader 5.x SP rumor or community guesswork sitting on top of those five names.
