Right before PUBG Mobile is making its way back to India, the Government takes another heavy blow on mobile applications and games. The casualties this time call the name of 43 apps and games. They were also banned under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. The third suspensions wave once more locked on applications of Chinese origin.

In June, the Government banned 59 applications, and then 118 more in September. After the third ban, it adds to a total of 220 suspended mobile applications.

Stating in a recent press release, the Government spokesperson addressed the ban on 43 mobile apps and games. This action was taken based on investigations conducted after complaints about these apps allegedly stealing users' data. It's a threat to the sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state, and public order.

Hence, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued the order for suspending the operations of these apps in India. The investigations were under the scope of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center, Ministry of Home Affairs.

PUBG Mobile's Gearing up to Re-enter India

The Government's 2nd ban in September also included PUBG Mobile. After more than two months of negotiations and problem-solving, the game is finally ready to make a comeback. PUBG Corporation had announced a special Indian version for local players. Apart from this, the company also shared its plans to set up a head office in India. PUBG India is now a legal company after registering with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
