So far we've had so many twists and turns around the mobile installment of the legendary Elder Scrolls series from Bethesda - The Elder Scrolls: Blades. The original announcement of the game was back in E3 of last year and it was planned to be released in last September. However, this expected release date was later pushed back to November 2018 and then once again to early 2019.

Closed beta
Then, last Friday Bethesda released some more information on the development state and where things are right now. On Twitter, they said that they will release a closed beta version for iOS soon, Then after the closed beta, they will launch early access for both Android and iOS hopefully within this spring.
The question now is how to access the closed beta? Do you still remember that there was a "sign up" campaign back at the first unveiling of the game? So based on that campaign, Bethesda will prioritize to send out beta invites base on how early you are and also on the kinds of device you own. This is quite strange because maybe those people who signed up 8 months ago have already changed their devices by now.
Early Access
OK, then what about the early access? In an FAQ, Bethesda has explained everything. The early access won't be the same as the closed beta, because the beta is for iOS only and also under NDA (which means all the beta players won't be able to legally discuss it). On the other hand, the Early Access will be for both Android and iOS and will not be under NDA - so Bethesda allows everyone to share their opinions about the game.
The pre-order page for the game on the App Store still lists the 31st of March as the release date. This might mean that Bethesda will try to run a few betas in March and then release the early access version at the end of the month.
