Atlus dropped some big news for the Persona 5: The Phantom X spin-off as it gears up for release. They’ve launched an official Discord server, and the game has smashed all its pre-registration goals. The server’s invite link is live, and players will score some free weapon and contract gacha pulls as rewards.
The Persona 5: The Phantom X Discord works like most game servers. Once you agree to the rules and privacy policy in the #privacy-policy channel, you’re in. You’ll find channels for game news, server updates, and spots to talk about in-game characters and Phantom Idols. There’s also space to drop feedback, share fan art, or just chat about the Persona series in general.
On the pre-registration front, the game’s global version hit 1.5 million sign-ups. The official social media account confirmed that everyone playing at launch will get a free avatar outfit, avatar frame, avatar profile card, 15 weapon gacha draws, and 20 contract gacha draws as bonuses.
One more thing: Atlus shared a video interview with Kaede Hondo, the Japanese voice actress for the original heroine, Motoha Arai. She talked for about 10 minutes about the character and what it’s like to play her.
About Persona 5: The Phantom X
The game takes place in a Tokyo where people’s desires have gone missing, building off *Persona 5* but doing its own thing with some fresh twists. You play as a new protagonist who juggles school life during the day and dives into cognitive dungeons at night.
A new crew of Phantom Thieves steps into the spotlight, each with their own backstories and Personas. They’re the main focus, but familiar faces like Joker and the original Thieves pop up through special in-game contracts.
The core gameplay sticks to what modern Persona games do best: mixing turn-based combat, daily time management, and building relationships. You can handle part-time jobs and school clubs while tackling dungeon runs and combat challenges.
There’s also some new stuff to play with, like a PvE combat mode called *The Velvet Trials* and extra side content through a Synergy System. These let you unlock original side stories written and overseen by Atlus, deepening your connections with both new and returning characters. You’ll also get NPC events and other side stories to check out.
Plus, Guild features let you connect with other players in-game. New palaces and Mementos shake up the dungeon designs, and NPC-focused events give you more ways to explore the huge cast. Mini-games add some extra fun to the student life parts.
