PUBG Mobile Version 4.5 is set to launch on July 9, 2026, and it brings one of the biggest crossovers in the game's history. The official collaboration with Naruto Shippuden turns the classic Erangel map into a living, breathing shinobi battlefield filled with iconic landmarks, powerful ninjutsu abilities, and immersive Naruto-themed areas.

Themed Areas Reshape Erangel

Instead of simple cosmetic changes, the update introduces dedicated Points of Interest (POIs) inspired by the Hidden Leaf Village (Konoha). These new or heavily modified locations blend seamlessly into Erangel, creating a fresh experience for every drop.

Key additions and transformations include:

  • Hokage Rock - The massive carved stone faces of the Hokage leaders now dominate the skyline and are visible right after players jump from the plane.
  • Hidden Leaf Hospital - A new medical facility area with Naruto-style architecture.
  • Ninja Academy - The iconic school building where future ninjas train, now a hot drop spot with unique structures.
  • Ichiraku Ramen Shop - Naruto's favorite ramen stand appears as an interactive landmark where players can restore chakra.
  • Hokage Mansion and surrounding Hidden Leaf Village zones - New buildings and pathways that give parts of the map a complete Konoha makeover.
  • Valley of the End and other memory-filled spots - Extra interactive areas that add depth and surprise elements.

These themed zones feature authentic Naruto visuals, including cherry blossoms, traditional architecture, and hidden details that reward exploration.

New Ninjutsu Mechanics Bring the Shinobi Experience

The themed areas are not just for show. They support a full chakra-based ability system that lets players use iconic jutsu during matches.

Notable abilities include:

  • Ninja Run for enhanced speed, higher jumps, and the ability to run across water.
  • Substitution Jutsu that auto-triggers near death, swapping you with a wooden log and teleporting you to safety.
  • Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu to create confusing duplicates.
  • Chidori and Rasengan for powerful dash attacks.
  • Flying Raijin Jutsu for kunai-based teleportation.
  • Great Fireball Jutsu and Mud Wall for offense and defense.

Kurama and Extra Immersion

A world boss version of the Nine-Tails (Kurama) can appear in certain phases or at special sealing points. Hostile NPC ninjas also patrol some areas, adding PvE tension to the battle royale formula.

The collaboration brings mythic outfits for Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Itachi Uchiha, Madara Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and more. These sets come with custom animations, emotes, and chakra visual effects.
