What is PUBG Mobile Ocean Odyssey mode?
As its name suggests, in PUBG Mobile Ocean Odyssey mode, players dive into an underwater adventure where they can explore new areas like a sumptuous underwater palace, encounter a giant Kraken, and discover Forsaken Ruins.
PUBG Mobile Ocean Odyssey mode: Features
Now, let's explore all the features of PUBG Mobile Ocean Odyssey mode:
1. Ocean Palace & Trident weapon
In the Ocean Palace, there's a Sea Suppressor that allows players to walk around as if they were on land. However, if you go beyond its boundary, you'll automatically start swimming.
To get to the Ocean Palace quickly, aim to land directly on the ocean surface. As you touch down, you'll be submerged. This grants you a speed boost for swimming and allows for faster looting. Moreover, if you're the first to reach the Ocean Palace, you'll earn a Respawn Card as a bonus.
Ocean Palace has a legendary weapon called Trident at its core, and obtaining it grants you unique powers, including a swimming speed boost, the ability to summon a waterspout on the land, and a special swimming animation. However, retrieving the weapon wakes the Kraken, a monstrous creature of the deep, who floods the Ocean Palace.
The Ocean Palace features a legendary weapon known as the Trident at its core. Acquiring this weapon bestows players with special abilities, such as the power to summon a waterspout on land, a boost in swimming speed, and a unique swimming animation. Nonetheless, obtaining the Trident also awakens the Kraken, a colossal sea creature, which floods the palace. Hence, you must either use a nearby portal to escape or swim back to the land.
2. Forsaken Ruins
If you're struggling to find good loot, Forsaken Ruins is a great spot to explore. Look for hidden switches there, and they'll lead you to a cave entrance that takes you to the Sea Treasury, an underwater region. There comes a wealth of hidden loot and you just need to light the columns next to its entrance to get it.
3. Water Prism
In addition to Ocean Palace and Forsaken Ruins, the PUBG Mobile Ocean Odyssey mode also includes Water Prisms scattered across the map. These are large cube-like structures made of water. Crossing their barrier allows access to a variety of useful resources.
4. Celestial Sea Treasure
In PUBG Mobile Ocean Odyssey mode, certain air drops have been transformed into Celestial Sea Treasures. These treasures descend via a water column that resembles a waterfall, leaving behind a seashell filled with supplies once they land.
5. Gleaming Stingray & Water Orb grenades
Lastly, the PUBG Mobile 3.3 update introduces a new vehicle called Gleaming Stingray. This amphibious vehicle resembles a stingray fish, summoned by the Stingray Core. It can fly at low altitudes and has the ability to launch bubbles that trap enemies.
Speaking of the Water Orb grenades, they are utilized to ensnare an enemy within its dome-shaped structure.
