Over the past decade, many mobile titles have proven that you don’t need fancy graphics or convoluted stories to make a great game. Stickman Hook is an example of this. With just a couple of simple elements, the game delivers an incredibly fun and addictive yet still casual and light-hearted experience.

The basic idea couldn’t be more straightforward: You control a Stickman and start on the left side of the screen. Your goal is to cross the finishing line on the right side. Along the way, there are walls, bounce pads, and grappling points that you can latch onto and swing from with your hook. You will have to navigate these objects and use them to your advantage in order to reach your goal. Check out the game’s trailer below:

The hook here (pun intended) is that the stages are ingenious. Some are open while others have tunnels and awkward walls, meaning you must time your leaps and calculate the momentum carefully.

The trick is here is to analyze what you are dealing with to come up with the best approach. Oftentimes you can complete a stage just by using the bounce pads. Swinging from grappling points, on the other hand, is riskier since one mistimed swing can send you propelling to your death. Still, it is exceptionally fun to watch your Stickman curl up into a ball and bounce all over the place.

Stickman Hook features two game modes. In the Classic mode, you will be working your way through a seemingly infinite number of stages. The Challenge mode, meanwhile, sees you facing 30 tests of precision, creativity, and patience.

Furthermore, along the way you can unlock several hilarious skins by completing objectives such as getting to a certain stage in Classic or overcoming Challenge levels.
