Ciaccona’s a 5-star Aero Resonator in Wuthering Waves, rocking Pistols and shining as a Sub-DPS/Support hybrid. She dropped in Version 2.3’s second half (banner’s live from May 22 to June 11, 2025). Her kit’s all about slapping Aero Erosion (a damage-over-time debuff) on enemies, grouping them up, and boosting Aero damage for the team.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to explain whether or not you should pull for Ciaccona.

Ciaccona Abilities

Basic Attack

Perform up to 4 consecutive attacks, dealing Aero DMG. Basic Attack Stage 4 inflicts 1 stack of Aero Erosion upon the target hit.
- When the first three stages of Ciaccona's Basic Attack are interrupted by dodging, Basic Attack in time to resume the attack cycle and cast the corresponding Basic Attack stage.
- After Basic Attack Stage 4, Ciaccona starts a Solo Concert. If Ciaccona's Basic Attack Stage 4 or Solo Concert ends early (proactively or being interrupted), an Ensemble Sylph is generated.Solo Concert
When Ciaccona or Ensemble Sylph performs Solo Concert, they give 24% Aero DMG Bonus to all nearby Resonators in the team. This effect is not stackable.

Ensemble Sylph

Up to 2 Ensemble Sylphs may exist simultaneously.

If Ciaccona's Basic Attack Stage 4 is interrupted, the Ensemble Sylphs generated will finish the attack for Ciaccona and enter Solo Concert.

If Ciaccona's Solo Concert is interrupted, the Ensemble Sylphs generated will continue the Solo Concert for Ciaccona.

Aside from the two situations mentioned above, Ensemble Sylphs generated by Resonance Skill will finish Ciaccona's current attack without entering Solo Concert.

Signature Weapon: Woodland Aria (5-star Pistol)

Ciacconas Banner And Weapon V0 M2zpzbr05sve1

  • Stats (Level 90, Rank 1): Bumps ATK by 12%.
  • Effects: Applying Aero Erosion gives a 20% Aero DMG Bonus for 10 seconds. Hitting enemies with Erosion cuts their Aero RES by 12% for 20 seconds.
  • Why It’s Solid: Matches her kit perfectly, boosting her damage, debuffs, and team support.

Best Echo Sets

  • Gusts of Welkin (5-piece): Cranks up Aero DMG and helps the team’s Aero output, great for Erosion squads.
  • Moonlit Clouds (5-piece): Boosts the next Resonator’s ATK, better for non-Aero teams or as a backup.
  • Main Stats: Go for CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG (4-cost), Aero DMG Bonus (3-cost), ATK% (3-cost).
  • Sub-Stats: Hunt for CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, and Energy Regen.

Resonance Chains (Sequences)

  • S1: Makes her tougher to interrupt during Basic Attacks and boosts ATK by 35% for 10 seconds.
  • S2: Gives the team a stackable 12% Aero DMG Bonus, upping her support game.
  • Higher sequences make her Aero Erosion hit harder and buff the team more, but S1-S2 are plenty for most.

Playstyle

  • Ciaccona’s a beast off-field, tossing out Aero Erosion and team buffs while pulling enemies together with her Forte Circuit.
  • Her quick-swap skills (Intro/Outro) make her perfect for fast team rotations, setting up big damage for DPS like Jiyan or the upcoming Cartethyia.
  • Clones (Ensemble Shade/Harmonic Echoes) keep the pressure on even when she’s not active.
  • The rhythm-based Resonance Liberation is a neat skill test, rewarding good timing.

Best Team Compositions

Aero Erosion Team (Top-Tier)

  • Ciaccona (Sub-DPS/Support) + Cartethyia (Main DPS) + Aero Rover/Shorekeeper (Support).
  • Why It Works: Ciaccona’s Erosion and buffs make Cartethyia hit like a truck, with Rover or Shorekeeper covering heals or energy.

Jiyan Hypercarry

  • Ciaccona (Sub-DPS/Support) + Jiyan (Main DPS) + Verina (Healer/Support).
  • Why It Works: Her Aero DMG Bonus and enemy grouping help Jiyan’s AoE damage, but her Erosion buff doesn’t do much since he doesn’t apply it.

Spectro Synergy

  • Ciaccona (Sub-DPS/Support) + Phoebe (Main DPS) + Aero Rover (Support).
  • Why It Works: Ciaccona’s Spectro Frazzle pairs with Phoebe, and Aero Rover flips debuffs to Aero Erosion for max damage.

Should You Pull for Ciaccona?

Why You’d Want Her

  • She’s the go-to Aero Support in Version 2.3, perfect for squads with Aero Erosion DPS like Cartethyia (coming in Version 2.4). Her 100% Aero Erosion DMG boost and 24% Aero DMG Bonus make Aero teams pop off.
  • Works in Aero or Spectro teams (thanks to Spectro Frazzle) and shines in quick-swap setups or endgame modes like Tower of Adversity.
  • Built to vibe with Cartethyia, so she’s a smart grab for Version 2.4’s meta.
  • Her music-themed kit and rhythm mini-game are a blast if you like active, skill-based characters.
  • Pairs well with free units like Aero Rover and doesn’t need her signature weapon (though Woodland Aria’s ideal). Swap in Static Mist or 4-star Pistols like Romance, and you’re good.
  • Version 2.3 throws in 10 free premium pulls (starting May 23, 2025), upping your shot at her or her weapon.

Why You Might Pass

  • Jiyan and Jianxin don’t use Aero Erosion, so her Outro Skill’s Erosion boost is kinda wasted. The 24% Aero DMG Bonus helps, but it’s not her full potential.
  • Version 2.3 has Zani (Spectro DPS) and anniversary reruns (Phoebe, Shorekeeper). If you need a main DPS or lean Spectro, they might be better picks.
  • Cartethyia’s Version 2.4 banner could be the real Aero priority if she uses Erosion herself.
  • Pulling Ciaccona and her weapon eats Lunites. If you’re short, saving for a 50/50 or a DPS might make more sense.
  • The rhythm mini-game might not click if you prefer simpler kits or don’t like QTE stuff.
