Cartethyia Overview
- Rarity: 5-star
- Attribute: Aero
- Weapon: Sword
- Role: Main DPS, built around Aero Erosion damage-over-time
- Unique Mechanic: Switches between her smaller Cartethyia form and the beefier Fleurdelys form using Resonance Liberation. Ties into her Rinascita storyline as the "Blessed Maiden" and "Fleurdelys."
Cartethyia Abilities
Basic Attacks
- Cartethyia Form:
- Slashes up to 4 times, dealing Aero damage that counts as Aero Erosion.
- The final Basic Attack or Heavy Attack spawns a Sword of Divinity’s Shadow, slapping 2 Aero Erosion stacks on enemies (max 1 Sword, lasts 20 seconds).
- After using Resonance Skill - Sword to Mark Tide’s Trace, she can jump into Basic Attack Stage 2 for extra Aero Erosion damage.
- Fleurdelys Form (kicks in with Resonance Liberation):
- Rocks a 5-hit ground combo or 3-hit aerial combo, all dealing Aero damage.
- Basic Attack Stage 5 and Mid-air Attack Stage 2 add 2 Aero Erosion stacks.
- Builds Conviction (up to 120) for her big ultimate move.
Resonance Skill - Sword to Answer Waves’ Call
- Creates a force field to yank enemies close, deals Aero damage, and restores Conviction.
- Hit the skill again for a follow-up: a giant Sword Shadow slams down, dealing Aero damage (counts as Basic Attack damage) and building Resolve. Adds 1 Aero Erosion stack and works mid-air.
- Using a Plunging Attack to recall Sword Shadows cuts the skill’s cooldown by 3 seconds per Sword type.
Resonance Liberation - Blade of Roaring Winds and Surging Tide
- Turns Cartethyia into Fleurdelys for 12 seconds with flashier attacks.
- Attacks in this form stack Conviction. Hit 120, and she can unleash Blade of Howling Squall, a massive Aero damage finisher with a 100% damage boost.
- Clears all Aero Erosion stacks on enemies, boosting their damage taken by 10% per stack (up to 60% at 6 stacks).
Intro Skill
- Drops Cartethyia - Sword to Mark Tide’s Trace, dealing Aero damage and summoning a Sword of Discord’s Shadow with 2 Aero Erosion stacks. Lets her start combos at Basic Attack Stage 2 for smoother flow.
Outro Skill - Heartwoven Prayer
- Boosts team healing by 20%. If Rover’s on the team, they get better interruption resistance.
- Cartethyia or Fleurdelys’ attacks make enemies take 10% more damage per Aero Erosion stack (up to 60% at 6 stacks).
Forte Circuit
- Builds Resolve with Basic Attacks, Heavy Attacks, and Resonance Skill to power up Fleurdelys and boost damage.
- Enemies with Aero Erosion give Cartethyia a 20% Aero Erosion damage bonus.
Passive Abilities
- Mark of the Winds: Team gets a 15% Aero damage boost when she’s active.
- Survival Mechanism: If she’s about to go down, she gets a shield worth 20% of her Max HP for 10 seconds (Sequence 5).
- When teammates apply Havoc Bane, Fusion Burst, Spectro Frazzle, Electro Flare, Glacio Chafe, or Aero Erosion, everyone gets a 20% damage boost for all attributes for 20 seconds.
Dual-Form Mechanics
- Cartethyia Form: Steady damage, stacks Aero Erosion, and sets up debuffs. Great for keeping pressure on.
- Fleurdelys Form: Big burst damage with Aero Erosion detonation. She can walk on water in the open world (uses stamina) but switches back to Cartethyia for tools like the grappling hook.
- Version 2.4.8 beta tweaked stamina use for some aerial moves in both forms.
Resonance Chains (Sequences)
- S1: Spreads Aero Erosion to nearby enemies. Stacks stick around after kills, hitting the next target. Gives 20% Crit Damage per 30 Resolve for 15 seconds.
- S2: Raises Aero Erosion stack cap by 3. Triggers instant Aero Erosion damage without eating stacks. Ups Basic Attack and Plunging Attack damage by 50% and 200% (down from 80%/300% in beta).
- S3: Adds 2 Aero Erosion stacks on certain hits and doubles her Resonance Liberation’s damage.
- S5: Swaps a 10% Max HP heal for a 20% Max HP shield when she’d take a fatal hit.
