The Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 Special Program, titled "To Be Fuel for the Night," aired on December 19, 2025, delivering a packed showcase for the upcoming patch. This update caps off Season 2 with the preview of its final battle, introducing the first dual-form S-Rank Agent Ye Shunguang, simultaneous banners for two new S-Ranks, generous freebies, co-op events, and significant quality-of-life improvements. Version 2.5 launches on December 30, 2025.

Story and New Content

Version 2.5 advances the main storyline with Season 2 Chapter 6: "To Be Fuel for the Night." Players will explore a new Hollow area, Lumite Mine, featuring fresh enemies and a novel Perception Technique. A new shop, Buyan Store in Failume Heights, unlocks additional missions to dive deeper into the lore.

New Agents and Banners

  • Ye Shunguang: The spotlight S-Rank Void Hunter boasts a groundbreaking dual-form mechanic. Her banner, "Light Upon Fingertips," pairs with signature W-Engine Cloudcleave Radiance. Her sidekick Bangboo, Sprout, enters the Outstanding Partner Banner pool.
  • Zhao: This S-Rank debuts on "Priceless Heart" with Half-Sugar Bunny W-Engine. Both banners run simultaneously from launch until the version ends, a rare treat for players.

Rerun banners for Alice, Soldier 0 - Anby, and Astra Yao (plus their W-Engines: Practiced Perfection, Severed Innocence, Elegant Vanity) arrive January 21. These feature a guaranteed first S-Rank as your selected rate-up and 20% off the initial 10-pull.

New Drive Disc sets include White Water Ballad and Shining Aria, farmable in Routine Cleanup. At Level 40+, players can select substats.
