On-set images of the movie Monster Hunter seem to be updated once or twice every week, but this time is an exception. Few images have been posted this week showing the Humvees soldiers passing by the desert with guns in their hands. Responsively, another image was revealed on Sony’s Twitter.
Monster Hunter is a live-action movie based on Capcom's insanely popular video game franchise under the same name. The main character is played by Tony Jaa - the famous martial artist and stuntman from Thailand.
In the image, we can see Tony Jaa holding the Great Hunter’s Bow on his left hand while carrying a giant Giant Jawblade on his shoulder. Fans of the game would be familiar with this bond weapon. Running aside him is Milla Jovovich with Dual Blades on her backs, a carving knife, and slinger on her left arm. The movie is about a group of military soldiers in the circumstance that the world is being invaded by monsters. These monsters can be killed with and only with weapons that were made from the parts of them. The soldiers thus asked for the help of the monster hunters from outer space, such as Tony Jaa.
Here is what we have from the official studio description:
"Behind our world, there is another, a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, revolting attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man who has found a way to fight back."
Monster Hunter is still being processed, and fans are waiting to the announcement of its releasing date.
