The Copper Golem, a 2021 Mob Vote loser, is finally hitting Minecraft in the Fall 2025 update, helping sort items from copper chests. Since Mojang’s open to reviving old ideas, here are five other mob vote rejects that deserve a spot in the game, with solid reasons why they’d make Minecraft better.
1. Moobloom (2020 Mob Vote)
The Moobloom’s a flowery cow from Minecraft Earth, lost to the Glow Squid in 2020. It’d spawn in flower forests, maybe dropping flowers or helping bees.
Why add it? Flower forests are pretty but empty. The Moobloom would make them lively and tie into bee mechanics, letting players farm unique flowers or honey. It’s cute and fits Minecraft’s chill farming side.
It’d push players to explore flower forests and add new ways to gather resources, perfect for decoration-focused builds.
2. Iceologer (2020 Mob Vote)
The Iceologer, another 2020 loser, is an Illager that spawns in snowy mountains, tossing ice clouds to slow or hurt players.
Why add it? Mountains need more danger than just strays. The Iceologer would spice up exploration with tough fights and could drop cool stuff like ice shards for crafting. It’s already in Minecraft Dungeons, so it’s a proven concept.
It’d make snowy peaks scarier and could tie into new weather or crafting systems, giving cold biomes more depth.
3. Glare (2021 Mob Vote)
The Glare, a small floating mob from 2021, lost to the Allay. It gets grumpy in dark spots where mobs can spawn, warning players.
Why add it? It’s perfect for cave diving or building big structures, helping spot dark areas without torches or debug screens. Taming it with glow berries would make lush caves more interactive.
The Glare would simplify lighting up caves and bases, making underground trips safer and tying into lush cave mechanics.
4. Rascal (2022 Mob Vote)
The Rascal, from 2022, hides in deep caves (Y=-16 to -48) for a hide-and-seek game, rewarding players with loot after three finds.
Why add it? Mining can get boring, but the Rascal’s playful challenge would make it fun. Its rewards, like rare ores or artifacts, would give players a reason to explore the deep dark without just fighting.
It’d add a non-combat twist to caves, tying into archaeology or exploration with unique rewards.
5. Crab (2023 Mob Vote)
The Crab, a 2023 loser, barely missed out to the Armadillo. It lives in mangrove swamps, dropping a claw to extend block-placing range.
Why add it? Builders would love the claw for easier big projects, no scaffolding needed. Mangrove swamps need more life, and the Crab’s climbing ability could add new movement options.
It’d make building smoother and mangrove swamps worth visiting, maybe with new crafting or exploration perks.
