The reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 was a total boom for the first-person shooting game community. This is not a sequel to the Modern Warfare series. This title is a reboot of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2007, but with much better visual graphics and plot for single-player mode. With a much better looking and seemingly cooler characteristics, this new captain Price will surely satisfy the fans of this game series (and no, we are not talking about the “non-Modern Warfare” Call of Duty games by Treyarch game developer)
To boost up the hype of gamers even more, Activision (publisher of the game) and Infinity Ward (developer of the game) has also announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 will support cross-play mode between the different platforms, and this feature will already be available since the release of the game on October 25, 2019.
Ever since the announcement officially released, the gaming community has raised a lot of questions regarding the exact way this matchmaking system works. That has resulted in the flood of false information on this topic. To tackle the problem, a female developer and producer of Infinity Ward has answered the question via her Twitter:
As the article of Forbes has answered, the cross-platform matchmaking system of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 will work the same way as the cross-platform matchmaking system of Fortnite. You will be offered 2 options. The first option is that if you play the game on console and pair with console players only, you will be matched with players using the same input devices only (this includes PC players who use controllers to play).
The second option for you to play is that if you are a console player and you pair with PC gamers who use mice and keyboards to play, you will be matched with all kinds of players, regardless of their input devices.
With so many offers from Activision and Infinity Ward for the game, you can pre-order the game from now. The official website for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 is beautifully designed, so check it out now, even if you don’t want to pre-order the game.
