Kaveh is going to be the new 4 star Dendro Claymore character in Genshin Impact's 3.6 update. The architect behind his magnum opus the Palace of Alcazarzaray, Kaveh was a student of the Kshahrewar Darshan of the Sumeru Akademiya and graduated with honors.
Be is going to be a Bloom on-field DPS character. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase a complete guide for farming Kaveh's Ascension and Talent materials.

Nagadus Emerald
Nagadus Emerald is the ascension stone for all Dendro characters. Baizhu is not an exception.
Players can get them by doing the following:
- Defeating Jadeplume Terrorshrooms or Dendro Hypostasis
- Nagadus Emerald can be randomly obtained from Chests, Daily Commissions, and Events.
- Players can convert other types of gemstone into Nagadus Emerald using Dust of Azoth, or merge lesser emeralds into higher tier ones, at a rate of 3:1.
Quelled Creeper
Quelled Creeper is a drop from the Dendro Hypostasis, a new world boss introduced in Genshin Impact 3.2. It is the last Hypostasis to be added to the game. The Dendro Hypostasis drops 2-3 pieces of these materials once it is defeated for the cost of 40 resins.
The Dendro Hypostasis is a Normal Boss challenge found in Land of Lower Setekh, Sumeru.
Mourning Flower
Crimson flowers that can bloom even on ancient battlefields or flourish in the depths of the desert. Its drooping flowers seem to be in mourning for heroes long past.
Players can find these flowers in the Kshuradhara Woods when the 3.6 patch comes out.
Fungai Spores/Luminescent Pollen/Crystalline Cyst Dust
Players can find a lot of fungi in Sumeru's rainforest areas, especially near cliffs, trees and water bodies. These enemies drop two types of common materials when defeated, Fungal Spores and Fungal Cores. Prepare to farm this material a lot, as Baizhu needs tons of them for both ascension and talent.
Sumeru Fungi population is high, but if you are looking for extra Fungal Spore, we recommend visiting the Underground Mines of the Chasm.

How good is Kaveh?
Kaveh is actually a 4 star on-field DPS character. Hoyoverse does not often make them these days, as usually the 5-star would be DPS.
Elemental Skill
Uses Mehrak's mapping ability for offensive purposes, initiating a radial scan that deals AoE Dendro DMG. It will also scan all Dendro Cores in its AoE and cause them to immediately rupture.
This skill blows up existing Dendro cores dealing extra damage. Overall, players can switch to Kaveh to use this ability near the end of a rotation, after generating cores with other characters.
Elemental Burst
Completely unleashes Mehrak’s energy and creates a cubic scanned space, dealing AoE Dendro DMG to all opponents within it and granting Kaveh the following enhanced combat abilities for a specific duration:
- Increases Kaveh’s Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack AoE, and converts his attack DMG to Dendro DMG that cannot be overridden.
- All Dendro Cores created by all party members through Bloom reactions deal additional rupture DMG.
- Increases Kaveh’s resistance to interruption.
These effects will be canceled once Kaveh leaves the field.
Kaveh's Burst effect is similar to Alhaitham's but works best on Bloom teams.
1st Ascension Passive
When DMG dealt by a Dendro Core (including DMG from Burgeon and Hyperbloom) hits Kaveh, Kaveh will regain HP equal to 300% of his Elemental Mastery. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s.
Overall a main DPS Kaveh will not need a Dendro healer to deal with the Bloom self-damage.
4th Ascension Passive
During Painted Dome, after Kaveh's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks hit opponents, his Elemental Mastery will increase by 25. This effect can be triggered once every 0.1s. Max 4 stacks. This effect will be canceled when Painted Dome's effects end.
Just a free 100 EM boost during his Burst.
