Fortnite is currently hosting a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event until February 27. During this event, players have the chance to participate in a mini Battle Pass inspired by TMNT. Eight quests are unveiled every three days until the event's conclusion. As players complete these quests, known as the Splinter Assignment Quests, they'll earn Ooze, the currency used to claim rewards in the Cowabunga event pass. Phase Three of the Splinter Assignment Quests, named the Cowabunga Clash phase, tasks players with a rather unusual request: time-traveling slowly into the future. Despite its peculiarity, this guide will assist fans in completing the quest, ensuring they obtain their hard-earned Ooze and unlock various TMNT rewards.
There is no alternative method to earn Ooze besides completing TMNT quests in Fortnite. The Cowabunga Clash, the third phase of the Splinter Assignment Quests, was introduced on February 15, approximately halfway through the event. Many players were delighted when eight additional quests became available, enabling them to finally unlock more Cowabunga event pass rewards. Below are the quests that were released along with the amount of Ooze players can earn from each:
- Assist in eliminating Society henchmen (10): 300 Ooze
- Crouch, jump, and mantle (200): 300 Ooze
- Damage opponents while airborne (100): 400 Ooze
- Reach the Top 25 players remaining (1): 400 Ooze
- Search Weapon Cases (3): 400 Ooze
- Take or eat pizza slices from pizza boxes with your friends (8): 300 Ooze
- Time travel into the future... slowly (300): 300 Ooze
- Visit different named locations in a single match (3): 300 Ooze
While the quest requiring players to time travel into the future may sound peculiar, it does have a certain logic to it. As time passes, players are essentially moving forward into the future. To accomplish this task in Fortnite, players need to let the game clock run until they've spent a total of 300 seconds in-game, thus completing the quest.
To fulfill this Cowabunga Clash Quest, players must engage in a total of 300 seconds of Fortnite Battle Royale gameplay, equivalent to precisely five minutes. However, quest progression won't commence until players have departed from the boot camp island and boarded the Battle Bus.
To expedite the completion of this quest without risking elimination, players should remain on the Battle Bus until it reaches the end of its route, forcing them off. Then, they should deploy their glider and remain airborne for as long as possible, increasing their chances of survival. This strategy allows players to prolong their gameplay and complete the quest successfully.
