To get the true ending of Stellar Blade, called Making New Memories, you need to do specific stuff related to Lily and a big choice at the end. This ending is the best one since it’s got a happier outcome, extra scenes, and a post-credits bit. Here’s how to pull it off:
1. Max Out Lily's Progress Bar (100%)
Grab as many Data Bank entries (like documents or memory sticks) as you can and knock out side missions to fill up Lily’s progress bar. You’ll see it pop up in the top-right corner when you snag certain items or finish specific quests. You don’t need every single collectible, but try to get most of them, especially in Xion and Eidos 9. Upgrading your drone makes finding these easier.
Make sure Lily’s bar hits 100% before you head to the Orbit Elevator in the main mission Orcal’s Testimony (after finishing Abyss Levoire). If the bar’s full, Lily will suggest checking out Eidos 9, a hidden area. You have to complete the Secret Garden mission there to unlock the true ending. Miss Eidos 9, and you’re out of luck for that playthrough.
2. Key Decision at the Nest
Keep playing until you hit the final mission, Selection of Species, where you face Adam in the Nest. When Adam sticks out his hand, choose Take Adam’s Hand. If you’ve got Lily’s bar at 100% and make this choice, you’ll trigger the Making New Memories ending. After picking this, you’ll fight a boss, Providence, a mech run by Mother Sphere. Beat it to move forward.

3. Outcome
In this ending, Eve and Adam merge into a new, powerful being. Lily makes it out alive and heads back to Xion with the final Hyper Cell, fixing up the city and waking everyone up. A post-credits scene shows Xion looking fresh, with Eve as its guardian, hinting at a sequel. You’ll also nab the Making New Memories trophy.
Tips to Avoid Missing the Ending
Points of No Return:
- After Abyss Levoire, you can’t go back to Xion’s interior, so wrap up side missions and collectibles there first.
- Agreeing to hit the Orbit Elevator locks you out of Eidos 9 if Lily’s bar isn’t maxed. If Lily doesn’t mention Eidos 9, you can’t get the true ending.
- The last point of no return is at the Nest’s Supply Camp, right before talking to Adam.
Single Playthrough Strategy:
Stellar Blade uses autosaves and doesn’t let you keep multiple save files, so getting all endings in one go is tough. If you’ve got PS Plus Cloud Saves, here’s a workaround:
- Before the Orbit Elevator, upload your save to the cloud and turn off auto-sync for Stellar Blade (go to Settings > Saved Data > Sync Saved Data > Turn off for Stellar Blade).
- Play with Lily’s bar under 100% and take Adam’s hand to get the Cost of Lost Memories ending.
- Pull the cloud save back, grab more Data Bank entries to max Lily’s bar, and take Adam’s hand again for Making New Memories.
- Reload the save again and refuse Adam’s hand for the Return to the Colony ending.
- This trick lets you snag all three endings without replaying the whole game, but it’ll take about 3–4 hours from the Orbit Elevator each time.
New Game Plus (NG+):
If you’d rather, play normally the first time and max Lily’s bar for Making New Memories. Then, in NG+, skip most side stuff and collectibles to keep Lily’s bar low for Cost of Lost Memories, and refuse Adam’s hand for Return to the Colony. NG+ is faster since you can skip cut Assessments
Notes
The Making New Memories ending is the true ending because it’s the happiest, has a post-credits scene, and takes extra work to unlock Eidos 9.
If you refuse Adam’s hand, you’ll get the Return to the Colony ending no matter what, where you fight Adam as the Elder Naytiba, and Eve and Lily go back to the Colony under Mother Sphere’s control.
If you take Adam’s hand but Lily’s bar isn’t at 100%, you’ll get the Cost of Lost Memories ending, where Eve merges with Adam, but Lily doesn’t make it, and Mother Sphere sends an army after Eve.
Focus on maxing Lily’s bar and taking Adam’s hand to get Making New Memories. If you want the Platinum trophy, you’ll need all three endings, so use the cloud save trick or NG+ to save time.
