A new mod for Oblivion Remastered turns the Imperial Legion into a faction you can actually join, with over 100 fresh quests to dive into. It gives players a new way to experience the Imperial Legion, packed with cool features to check out.

When Oblivion Remastered first dropped, Bethesda said modding wasn’t officially supported. But the modding community didn’t care—they’ve been pumping out awesome mods for Bethesda games forever, and this time’s no different. Just six weeks after release, the creativity’s been wild. One mod even let players leave Dark Souls-style messages around Cyrodiil, adding a bit of online flair to the single-player game.

New Oblivion Remastered Mod Lets You Join the Imperial Legion

The “Imperial Legion - Infinitum” mod, made by ColdTyrant on Nexus Mods, is the latest big thing. It makes the Imperial Legion, including the Imperial Watch and Imperial Forestry, a joinable faction with over 100 new random, repeatable radiant quests. You’ve got new stuff like Arrest Warrants, Outlaw Bounties, and a currency called Writs of Merit. There’s even a Corruption system tied to collecting fines from folks in Cyrodiil.

On top of that, the mod adds new armor and weapon sets, plus a bunch of NPCs like a merchant and a skill trainer. It’s a super detailed mod that could easily keep you busy for hours in a new Oblivion Remastered playthrough. The only real snag right now is that custom voice files aren’t supported yet, and that won’t change until modders crack that barrier. Still, ColdTyrant says it doesn’t mess with how the mod works.

Bethesda just dropped the patch notes for Oblivion Remastered’s 1.1 update, coming June 11. It’s mostly about fixing bugs rather than adding new stuff, which makes sense since the remaster’s already pretty complete. Hopefully, this means more updates are coming to polish things up even further.
