In the Season 8 trailer of PUBG that introduced the new Sanhok, we get to see hints that PUBG is going to have 2 more maps, one of which will be based on a location in South Asia and has a name that starts with the letter "P".
Just recently, a PUBG Dev called ALEX the PUBG DEV has teased some new images about this upcoming map, including the picture of 2 volcanoes, Machupicchu, and Andes mountain. It seems that this map distinct feature will be many high mountains, vast valleys, and probably, maybe some volcano eruption activities or visual effects.
Based on those pictures above, the map might have a dense city area in the middle while being surrounded by mountains and forests. However, high mountains might be a problem that affects the playing experience of players if the final circle lands on it like in Sanhok.
There are also many leaks about a Mysterious BackPack, a new weapon, and new features. The Mysterious Backpack seems to be able to protect the player who is wearing it from the Blue Zone, which obviously really overpowers.
The new weapon is a Light Machine Gun called MG3 that uses 7.62 ammo.
There also might be a crafting feature that allows players to create powerful items from the material they have. The item crafting system actually appeared in the Fantasy Battle Royale mode in PUBG a few months ago for the dev to test it out.
