Looks like Resident Evil 3 Remake would make some changes to the storyline, similar to how the previous remake did but to a greater extent. Besides graphics upgrade and gameplay tweaks, the game’s ending would also be modified. Based on a recent statement by RE3 producer Peter Fabiano, various instances in which players’ decisions affect the storyline would be removed. This means there would only be one true ending for Resident Evil 3 Remake, instead of the multiple endings in the original version.
The role of various characters in the story would also be expanded, with Brad Vickers and Dario Rosso being the biggest example. Vickers is also a member of S.T.A.R.S similar to Jill – providing her with various support in the original. With his role expanded, it is expected that the guy would either be working with her or against her in the remake.
Dario Rosso played a pretty small role in the original, as the guy is a coward who is locking himself up in a warehouse. It is expected that his expanded role would be either a quest giver or an information provider, who would assist Jill in her exploration of the city.
About the City itself, Fabiano also confirmed that it would be way bigger and more explorable than the original version. While it is still not an open world, players would be able to experience a greater degree of freedom than ever before, with the ability to enter various buildings to scavenge. Enemy spawns are dramatically modified so that old player would not be able to anticipate sudden dangers.
This game will be available on Apr 3, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Interested in more of our video games related articles? Please check out this post for everything related to the remake of Resident Evil 3.
