However, after 3 years of development, Redlock Studio just released its early access version on Steam. The studio calls it a "beta" version, including major mechanics of the game. The developer hopes to receive more feedback from the players' community to be able to complete it before 2019 ends.

Shattered: Tale Of The Forgotten King brings some vibes of Dark Souls

If you haven't heard about the game yet, Shattered: Tale Of The Forgotten King is a mixture of 2.5D and 3D, of action and adventure, of open world and challenging bosses.

Sometimes 2.5D, sometimes 3D. Should I call it 2.75D?

In the game, you're controlling a wanderer in the semi-opened world of Hypnos. You'll have to explore through the vast area scattered with ancient ruins, encountering very tough bosses, and defeat them to step up to your final glory.

Apart from the adventure elements where you can choose several paths to follow, the bosses are also special parts of the game. The combat is very similar to Dark Souls, where you'll have to learn every move of the bosses and make a wise decision with precise timing.

Slaying bosses will give you EXP, some money to achieve new equipment and some items that reveal the mystery behind the land.

The Early Access phase will start on June 4, so remember to be the first one to try the gorgeous works from Redlock Studio.
