According to various leaked sources, the event to reveal the PS5 would happen in February. Usually, when a new console is revealed, there would be an array of new exclusive games bundled into the reveal. Rumors from sources have been swirling around various games such as Gran Turismo 7, Godfall, Demon Soul Remastered… and finally, Spider-Man 2.
While the leaks cannot really be confirmed, but based on various reveals previously by Sony, this could easily be the truth. The sequel to Spider-Man is currently being developed at Insomniac Games. Based on the leak, Spider-Man 2 will launch in holiday 2021, but would likely be revealed sometime this year, as part of PlayStation 5’s exclusive lineup.
The sequel will again take place in the usual open-world Manhattan, but further extend to Brooklyn and Queens. Story details would include Peter Parker training a new Spider-Man, Miles Morales, along with a few supporting characters like Harry Osborn and Flash Thompson. OsCorp would play a big role in this game with a cloning storyline – along with various classic Spider-Man villains.
The new villain roster in the sequel would include characters like Cardiac, Green Goblin, Carnage, Mysterio, The Lizard, and Venom. While the exact story of the game is yet to be seen, it is expected that Insomniac would be able to balance everything.
About the world map, the source claims that a lot of the events would be randomized – along with the exact details of the encounter. This mechanic would ensure that all playthroughs of the game would be unique. While there is no way to confirm if this would be the truth, February 5, the day of the PS5 reveal event, is just two weeks away. Interested in some of the best game that was revealed for 2020?
