How To Get Rare Christmas License Plates in GTA Online

In GTA Online this holiday season, there were supposed to be two rare license plates you could get. We’ll show you how to get them. However, there’s a strange problem—Rockstar Games made a mistake, so only one plate is actually available. We’ll explain more about it.

GTA Online’s current Event Week, from December 19, 2024, to January 1, 2025, includes two Salvage Yard Robberies with big rewards. Finish them to unlock a great car deal and a rare license plate.

Each week, Rockstar Games changes the Salvage Yard Robbery missions, offering three different options and the vehicles you need to steal. Rare vehicles and those with special plates don’t appear often. This year, we’ve seen plates like the Liberty City plate, Las Venturas plate, and LS Panic plate. This week, two plates were supposed to return—but only one actually works.

This Christmas Salvage Yard Robberies

Here’s a quick list of all the robberies and cars with plates available this Christmas:

• The Cargo Ship Robbery: Pfister Comet Safari with LS Car Meet Plate (Claimable)
• The Podium Robbery: Vapid Clique with LS Pounders Plate (Claimable)

GTA Online Special Plates

The Los Santos Pounders, or LS Pounders, are a football team in the GTA universe. Their team colors—black, white, and yellow—are featured on the license plate. This plate had been in the game files for years but was never used. Now, players can finally get it.

This plate features a red and white design with the LS Car Meet logo and text at the top.

How to get the LS Pounders & LS Car Meet Plates in GTA Online

If you complete The Podium Robbery or The Cargo Ship Robbery, you can claim the car from those jobs. This is a rare feature in GTA Online that lets you keep the car as your personal vehicle after finishing a robbery.

This week, The Podium Robbery features the Vapid Clique with the LS Pounders plate. Normally priced at $909,000 on Legendary Motorsport, you can make it your personal vehicle for just $20,000 by completing this robbery.

Now, here’s where things get strange. This week, The Cargo Ship Robbery features the Pfister Comet Safari with the LS Car Meet plate. Normally, this car costs $710,000 on Legendary Motorsport, but you can make it your personal vehicle for just $20,000 by completing the robbery. While that’s a great deal, the real prize is the rare LS Car Meet plate.

Here’s another issue with Rockstar’s plan. The Pfister Comet Safari doesn’t allow you to add a license plate, so while you can claim the car, the LS Car Meet plate isn’t available. Despite Rockstar telling fan sites last night that the plate would be claimable on the Comet Safari, it turns out that's not the case.

That said, there’s a way to cut the cost in half for either vehicle. If you own a Document Forgery office, you’ll only pay $10,000 in GTA cash for each vehicle instead of the usual $20,000. The business doesn’t need to be active to get the $10k price—just owning it is enough.
