Fate/Grand Order Arcade spent nearly eight years as a Japan-only cabinet game. Official service ended in March 2026. A few months later, fans put an unofficial version on PC. The project is unfinished and legally fragile, but it is the first time most players outside Japanese game centers can try the game.

Not a mobile port
FGO Arcade launched on July 26, 2018. Sega developed and published it. Delightworks, later Lasengle, planned it under a Type-Moon license. It shared Servant names and Quick / Arts / Buster cards with the phone game. The rest was new.
It was a real-time 3D team brawler. Players controlled one Servant at a time, mixed command cards with movement and guards, and fired Noble Phantasms as full 3D attacks. Grand Order was the story mode. Grail War was networked 3-on-3 play. Cabinets also printed physical Servant and Craft Essence cards.
The roster reached 120 Servants. Several were arcade originals, including male Saber Jacques de Molay, Archer Kama (Mistake), Santa Suzuka Gozen, Sita, Proto Merlin, Larva/Tiamat, and Sodom’s Beast/Draco. New Servant additions stopped in May 2023. Cabinets kept running until the shutdown notice on January 29, 2026.
Official end of service
Play stopped on March 30, 2026 at 25:59 Japan time, or 1:59 a.m. on March 31. Every mode went offline. Chaldea Web My Room closed too. Stores removed cabinets on their own schedules. A farewell collab with Sega’s Eiketsu Taisen ran near the end. There was never an official home version, so the playable game looked like lost media overnight.
How the PC revival happened

The cabinets were hardened PCs with extra hardware and server checks. Game files had leaked years earlier. Bilibili creator Cloud23333 built a launcher and a local platform that stands in for Sega’s servers. Public version 1.00 arrived in mid-September 2026. Update 1.01 followed quickly.
Story quests, farming, events, and in-client gacha work offline. Controller support is available. NVIDIA setups often run well. The UI is still mostly Japanese. Public online matchmaking is not ready. AMD cards often fail without community patches. Some quests still bug out.
The client uses official assets without permission. Type-Moon, Sega, Lasengle, and Aniplex did not approve it, so a takedown is possible. This is a fan preservation build, not a licensed port. For a game that never left Japanese arcades, it is the closest thing to a second life FGO Arcade has had.
