Sulfur cubes are one of the most creative mobs added in Minecraft’s Chaos Cubed update. These passive, slime-like creatures spawn naturally in sulfur caves and can absorb full-sized blocks to transform their movement and physics. Best for: Reliable movement in water-based builds or simple launchers where you want consistent results without extremes.
Bouncy Archetype (The Rubber Ball)

Blocks that trigger it: Wooden blocks including planks, logs, stripped logs, bamboo blocks, and resin-related blocks.
Properties: Fast speed, very high bounciness (0.9), medium ground friction, extremely low air drag. Floats in water.
Feel: A super-elastic rubber ball that ricochets everywhere.
Best for: Pinball-style mini-games, trampoline courses, or chaotic mob arenas.
Slow Flat Archetype (The Medicine Ball)

Blocks that trigger it: Heavy metal blocks and ores such as iron blocks, gold blocks, copper blocks and ores, netherite blocks, and ancient debris.
Properties: Slow speed, low bounciness, medium ground friction, medium air drag. Sinks in water.
Feel: Heavy and grounded like a medicine ball that barely bounces.
Best for: Obstacles, weighted platforms, or controlled short-range movement where you do not want it flying off.
Fast Flat Archetype (The Golf Ball)

Blocks that trigger it: Organic and soft blocks like coral, sponges, moss, pumpkins, melons, hay bales, froglights, and some resin blocks.
Properties: Fast speed, low bounciness, low ground friction, very low air drag. Sinks in water.
Feel: A smooth, fast-rolling golf ball that glides quickly with minimal rebound.
Best for: Precise long-distance launches, racing tracks, or farms that need quick but controlled travel.
Light Archetype (The Beach Ball)

Blocks that trigger it: Any wool block.
Properties: Slow speed, extremely high bounciness, medium ground friction, high air drag. Floats in water.
Feel: A light beach ball that drifts and bounces gently in the air.
Best for: Vertical parkour, floating platforms, or slow-motion aerial challenges.
Fast Sliding Archetype (The Hockey Puck)

Blocks that trigger it: Ice blocks including blue ice, packed ice, snow blocks, and regular ice.
Properties: Fast speed, almost no bounciness, very low ground friction, very low air drag. Sinks in water.
Feel: A hockey puck that slides rapidly across flat surfaces.

Slow Sliding Archetype (The Curling Stone)

Blocks that trigger it: Mushroom blocks, mycelium, nether wart blocks, warped wart blocks, and shroomlights.

High Resistance Archetype

Sticky Archetype

Blocks that trigger it: Honeycomb blocks.
Properties: Medium speed, zero bounciness, extremely high ground friction, very low air drag. Sinks in water.
Feel: It sticks to surfaces like glue and refuses to bounce.
Best for: Traps, item sorters, or builds where you need the cube to stay exactly where it lands.
Explosive Archetype

Blocks that trigger it: TNT.
Properties: Medium speed and bounciness, medium friction and drag. Floats in water.
Special effect: Can be ignited by flint and steel, fire, explosions, or redstone. Explodes after a fuse (6 seconds normally, shorter if chain-reacted). Does not split into small cubes when it explodes.
Best for: TNT-based mini-games, controlled demolition, or explosive defenses.
Hot Archetype

Blocks that trigger it: Magma blocks.
Properties: Medium speed and bounciness, medium friction, low air drag. Floats in water.
Special effect: Damages nearby entities on contact, exactly like walking on a magma block.
Best for: Automatic mob farms, lava-less traps, or defensive perimeters.
Slow Bouncy Archetype

Blocks that trigger it: Most stone-like blocks (including deepslate variants, nether bricks, tuff, calcite, obsidian, and many polished or chiseled stone variants).
Properties: Slow speed, solid medium bounciness, medium ground friction, low-to-medium air drag. Floats in water in some configurations.
Feel: A sluggish but satisfying bouncy cube that still has some spring.
Best for: Underwater bases, gentle bouncing platforms, or slower-paced parkour sections.
