Hanging with randoms can be alright now and then, but it sucks for big-money heists. If they have no clue about the setup, they can burn through team lives or wreck the whole thing by mistake or on purpose. Players planning a serious run should get the solo choice every time. If you just want to chill and team up, you can always queue with randoms separately.
Many players play solo
Lots of GTA Online players go solo. This happens because their friends might not own the game or just do not log in much.
The Cayo Perico heist launch had solo players pumped since one person can complete it from start to finish. It remains the most popular heist in GTA Online even as the latest addition. Other solo-run businesses pull big crowds too. This proves every GTA 6 Online heist needs a solo option. Without it, a huge chunk of players will miss out entirely or get stuck with lousy random teams.
Ease of grinding
If heists can be completed alone, players would have a better time grinding at their own pace rather than relying on everyone being on the same page.
