Call of Duty Mobile has just announced the Call Of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020 on their Twitter. According to their announcement, the tournament will start next week on April 30. Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020 prize pool is Rs 7.6 Crore ($1 million).
Call of Duty Mobile was released in October last year, but there has been no official tournament for the title until now. Players need to be Veteran I or above in ranked mode to join this tournament. There will be multiple stages to pick out the best players. Currently, there has been only information for Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the Call Of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020.
Stage 1: Open Online Qualifiers
Here are the current details about the first stage of the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020:
- The first stage will start from April 30 to May 24 with an online format. That's 4 weeks in total. The Stage will be available on the weekends of the entire duration of Stage 1.
- You can join the tournament by tapping the "Sign Up” button in the game. You can earn in-game reward just for registering to the tournament
- After that, your next 10 ranked matches will earn you points for the tournament. The more rank you currently are and the more wins you can get, the more points you can earn. You will earn more free in-game rewards as you get more points.
- Reach 80 points at any weekend and you are qualified for Stage 2. If you manage to be qualified for Stage 2, you will get additional in-game rewards.
- The tournament will be giving away different in-game rewards each weekend so you can keep playing it even if you have already qualified for Stage 2.
Stage 2 and beyond
Unlike Stage 1 where you can be qualified alone, you need to form a team to join Stage 2. Of course, your team members must have been qualified during Stage 1 first to continue. Stage 2 will also be played online.
After Stage 2 will be the Regional Qualifiers, Regional Playoffs, and then finally the Call of Duty Mobile Championship 2020. Here is the expected Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020 schedule for Stage 2 and further but note that these dates are not final and can be altered.
- Stage 2: May 1 to May 10.
- Regional Qualifiers: May 17 to May 31.
- Regional Playoffs: July to August.

Here are all the necessary requirements for a player to be able to join the Call Of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020 according to the official information from Call of Duty: Mobile.
- A player must be 18 years old or above to be able to join the tournament.
- Players must be free of or have served fully any penalties from previously breaking rules of official Call of Duty: Mobile.
- Players must be on good terms with respect to all their Call of Duty accounts.
- Players must use an eligible handset without any additional attachments or external devices such as mouses, keyboards, controllers,...
- Players cannot play the tournament on emulators on PCs.
- If the Administration finds out about any violation, those players will be banned from any Call of Duty: Mobile tournament in the future.

Currently, there hasn't been any information about the stream schedule and place for fans to watch the tournament. It's likely that the tournament won't be streamed at least until Stage 2 starts.
