Chenyu Vale is a stunning place with beautiful valleys, fog, mountains, greenery, and even a city on a big waterfall. A while back, fans have seen pictures of this area and speculated that it was from Fontaine. However, it turns out the waterfall city idea is actually for Chenyu Vale.
From the pictures, it looks like Chenyu Vale has some technology and architecture influence from Fontaine. That makes sense because Fontaine is just north of Chenyu Vale, separated by a narrow strait.
There is also charming village by a river, and lots of ancient ruins and floating devices we might get to activate. There will probably be plenty of quests for Genshin Impact players to conquer here. One area even looks like a place from Genshin Impact's fellow game Honkai: Star Rail.
If you thought the game would slow down after Fontaine in terms of design, think again. Chenyu Vale might be the most amazing place yet. The fan community is hopeful that the game will expand towards the north, maybe reaching Mondstadt, but we'll have to wait and see.
New boss in update 4.4 Genshin Impact
Besides Chenyu Vale map, Genshin Impact 4.4 may introduce a powerful field boss known as the "Wild Beast of the South." Keep in mind that the name might change before the final release.
This foe will reportedly make its appearance in the 12-3 Spiral Abyss Floor. Sources said that the boss has resistance against Hydro and Anemo damage.
Defeating the Wild Beast of the South will give players ascension materials for Xianyun, aka Cloud Retained. Additionally, players can offer special items called Spirit Koi to the new offering statue in exchange for various rewards.
Amidst speculation, there have been rumors suggesting Celestia's presence directly above Chenyu Vale. However, no concrete details about Celestia's connection to Chenyu Vale have been disclosed yet.
