As we reported a few days ago, the Season 1 of Tencent’s hit auto chess game Chess Rush has now gone live. Titled ‘The Rush Begins’, this season grants you the opportunity to earn several rewards just by logging in daily. Additionally, you can also opt to purchase the Chess Souls pass, which multiplies the rewards by up to 17 times.

The new season also comes with the release of two new undead heroes: Gluttony and Stinger, the latter of whom has a rather interesting backstory. Basically, when studying a mysterious relic, Stinger discovered a cloak with a rose on it. Naturally, she decided to try putting it on, but the rose suddenly came to life and ensnared her with its thorn. Turns out, the cloak is home to an evil spirit who has now permanently attached to Stinger, putting her in a state of undeath.

Needless to say, the addition of Gluttony and Stinger will open up more new strategies, forcing players to adapt in order to make use of or defend against these undead heroes.

Another update is also coming next week, bringing with it a new 4v4 Squad Clash game mode. This allows you to team up with up to 3 other friends to face off against another team of 4 in an intense and strategically demanding battle. Moreover, in an effort to keep the game fresh, Tencent will also be adding new boards for players to play on with the update.

We loved Chess Rush in our review and actually think it is one of the best Auto Chess games available on the market at the moment, so if you’ve not tried it yet, we highly recommend that you do so right now. It is available for both Android and iOS.
