Clash Squad is one of the two main modes of Free Fire, with much different gameplay comparing to the original BR. In this mode, two squads would fight against each other on a small map for multiple rounds. Because of this, you need a different set of skills while playing this mode.
In this article, we are going to compare Chrono Vs Wukong two of the most popular characters in this mode, to see which one is better than the other.

About Wukong in Clash Squad
Camouflage ability
Effect: Turn into a Bush for 15 sec. 200 seconds cooldown. Firing any weapon will cancel Camouflage’s effect and taking down an enemy will reset the cooldown.
Wukong the Monkey King is actually a pretty decent character in Clash Squad mode. His active ability Camouflage lets you turn into a bush, which lets you evade upcoming enemy fire and blend with the environment for ambushes.
This is a great counter-rush and escape tool. By turning into a bush before an enemy rush, it is very likely that they will run past you, leaving an open back for you to stab. You can perform this over and over again with the cooldown refresh after a kill.
Skills to combo with: Jai, Jota, Hayato
Which gun combo to use with Wukong?
UMP + M1014
Overall, the UMP has decent medium-range damage, along with a little bit of counter for armored targets. The M1014 is extremely deadly in this mode, with most players not having armors or helmets early on. You can score a quick kill with one or two shots fairly easily in close range.
The weakness of this combination is its effective range - you need to move around in a smart way and get close to enemies. With Camouflage, it is fairly easy to set up an ambush.

About Chrono in Clash Squad
Time Turner ability
Effect: Creates a force field that blocks 600 damages from enemies. One can fire from inside the force field. Within the force field, you can increase 15% in movement speed during 8s activation. CD 170s.
While Chrono's ability is much weaker in Battle Royale now, it remains a top-tier skill in Clash Squad. The reason behind this is that the Clash Squad rounds are fairly short. You often can't activate it more than one time anyway... so the long cooldown does not matter.
Skills to combo with: Moco, Shirou, Dasha
Which gun combo to use with Chrono?
AUG and MAG-7
Chrono needs a versatile gun combo. Overall, the AUG is the best all-rounder AR in Free Fire Clash Squad. It has enough range to cover the map and high enough damage to win in mid-range duels, which is definitely worth the higher cost.
The MAG-7 is a decent cover weapon for close-quarter fights. You can one or two shots players easily with its high damage. You can also use it as a finisher, as the gun has slightly longer range than the usual shotgun.
Chrono Vs Wukong, who is better?
Overall, the usefulness of Wukong's ability depends on the map. You can disguise fairly easily in Bermuda, but Kalahari might be a problem. Furthermore, Wukong's ability doesn't really work inside buildings (no grass grows there), further limiting his usefulness.
Chrono, on the other hand, is much more straightforward. Chrono's shield is the strongest ability in the game. A timely activation of Chrono's shield could turn the tide of battle, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.
Because of this, it is safe to say that Chrono is much better than Wukong in Clash Squad, especially if you are at a lower rank. Wukong, while decent, is fairly hard to use. Camouflage requires players to read the situation and have decent control over their movement. It is less versatile than Time Turner, which can be used for both offense and defense.
