Since PUBG Mobile is not authorized to publish in China, Tencent launches “Game for Peace” as a patriotic replacement. As a response to the strict policy of the Chinese government, Tencent makes some huge changes in this version. These are the top five significant differences between Game for Peace Mobile and its original release of PUBG Mobile. Due to these changes, Game for Peace is issued to launch in this demanding market and brings Tencent great profits.

Change in Name

The very first and most obvious difference between PlayerUnknown Battleground Mobile and Game for Peace is the name. Tencent removes the word “Battle” in the name of this version. It is because the term “Battle” is said to promote violence in the young players. Whereas, the name “Game for Peace” regards to a revolutionary mission and a good target: peace.

Change in Storyline

While PUBG Mobile is a battle for survival, Game for Peace is an anti-terrorist war. PUBG Mobile is a fierce battle where 100 players fight and kill each other to be the last survivor on the battlefield. Meanwhile, in this Chinese version, you join an anti-terrorist training course to become an excellent soldier. Players do not kill each other, they are only trained to protect peace and Chinese airspace.

“Goodbye” Emote

In PUBG Mobile, when a player is killed, he falls, immediately disappears and leaves a loot box on the battlefield. Other players can take supplies from the box for the following combats. However, in Game for Peace, the loser will sit down, take the supplies out and wave to goodbye before the battleground. It feels like he doesn’t die but just leave the training course.

Change in Blood

Chinese Government issues the ban on gory visuals in games. Therefore, Tencent has to replace red blood with bright green bubbles. However, they keep the texture of the blood so that players know the direction of shooting. This mobile game is only a shooting training course, so players are not killed. They won’t bleed when getting shot. Alternatively, Tencent uses special green dots to represent blood.

Change in Notification

An amazing change in this battle royale game, the winner will have a winning cake and firework guns to celebrate their victory. Moreover, there is a new notification of the top five best players in the training course. It’s pretty different from MVP notification in PUBG Mobile.

With these changes, Tencent proves Game for Peace is a tactical shooting game that honors air force militants. Besides, players will see recruitment ads of Chinese Air Forces when playing this game. It can be the compromise of Tencent to release the Game for Peace in China. In general, Game for Peace Mobile is no longer a battle for survival, so it’s different from PUBG Mobile.
