However, it is clear that the game has some favorites. Hayato Firebrand and K are two of the most popular picks in Free Fire,  great choices for both aggressive and passive players. Let's compare the abilities of them to see who has the edge on the battlegrounds.

Hayato Firebrand

Being basically a free character, Hayato earns his position as one of the most popular characters in Free Fire. The legendary samurai has a passive ability - Bushido. Players can also awaken Hayato's potentials, upgrading him to Hayato Firebrand to access the active ability - Art of Blades.

When activated, this ability allows Hayato to reduce frontal damage by 20% for three seconds at a 50-second cooldown. Firing or using any weapons will interrupt using this ability.

K (Captain Booyah)

Speaking of the most powerful characters in Free Fire, it would not be fair to leave K out of the equation. As his in-game description says, K is a professor and a jiu-jitsu expert. He has an active ability - Master of All. In the Jiu-Jitsu mode, all allies within a 6-meter radius get a 500% boost in the EP conversion rate.

When in the Psychology mode, this ability allows K to recover 2 EP every 3 seconds, up to 100 EP. However, players can only switch between the modes switch after 20 seconds. At his highest level, K can recover 2 EP in every 2 seconds and up to 150 EP in the psychology mode.

Hayato Firebrand Vs. K: Who is Better?

These two characters come with two totally different skillsets, designed for specific purposes in the game. However, if we are very strict to find a better pick, K seems to have an edge in this battle. Hayato Firebrand has an undoubtedly impressive ability to shield himself from some of the frontal damage. But it does not allow players to fire back or counter-strike.On the other hand, K offers an enhanced EP conversion rate for both him and his allies. It can be beneficial for both passive and aggressive players in Free Fire.
