The Free Fire India Championship (FFIC) 2020 is the first major Free Fire tournament in India of the year so it is understandable that all Free Fire players are super excited for this opportunity. In fact, there were so many teams trying to access the official website of the FFIC 2020 to register that it crashed on January 11. However, Garena has quickly recognized the problem and got the site back on just a few hours later, some players might still encounter the problem though.
Garena Free Fire is one of the biggest esports on mobile in the world, and even comparable to other famous PC esports titles such as DOTA 2, Fornite, League of Legends,... Especially, in 2019, it has earned many greats achievements such as being the most downloaded mobile battel royale, most-watched mobile esports on YouTube with 29.9 billion views, having 2 million concurrent online viewers peak for the Garena Free Fire World Series 2019.
The FFIC 2020 is the first major Free Fire tournament for India this year with a huge prize pool of Rs 35 lakh. The registration for the tournament is open until January 26. There is a total of 3 stages, Qualifier Stage, League Stage, and Finals Stage.
The Qualifier Stage will be starting soon after the registration phase ends. 22 top teams from the Qualifier Stage will move on to the League Stage with 2 top teams from the Free Fire India Today League 2019, team Nightmare and team Nawabzade. Finally, the top 12 teams from the League Stage will join the Finals to fight for the championship.
The date and location for the tournament have not yet to be revealed but we expect that Garena will announce them soon after the registration phase.
