Ryden's special ability is called "Poison Trap." He can send out his explosive cyber-spider buddy in a chosen direction, either as a sneaky scout or a deadly snare. The artificial arachnid has two modes:

Despite Ryden's powerful spider, it has some weaknesses. With only 1 HP, the robo-arachnid is fragile and can be easily taken out with a few bullets before it detonates. Also, while the web restricts movement, it doesn't affect firing rates. So, ensnared enemies can still fight back if they get the chance.
