Genshin Impact 2.8: Crystalline Core Locations & Puzzles

Players need to find 3 Crystalline Cores in Genshin Impact's Like Rhyme and Song quest, and the gave itself does tell them where the cores are. However, the main problem with this quest is the difficult puzzle.

Where are the cores' locations?

The three cores are on three small islands in the Golden Apple Archipelago. From top to bottom we have north, central and east islands.

If you already put in the right combination, you can no longer move the mechanism. If you put in the incorrect combination, you can log in and out of the game to restart the mechanisms.

Location #1 (Northwestern)

This puzzle is very straightforward and can be done quickly. There are 2 spherical objects that players can interact with, which in turn rotate the nearby gears.

Core Puzzle 1 — Location of the first core

Get to the location in the picture. The sphere on the rock is #2 while the sphere not on the rock is #1.

Start with the #1 sphere first, and rotate it in the following order: Right > Left > Left
Move on to the #2 sphere and rotate it in the following order: Right > Right > Left

Afterward, a brief cutscene will play, which allows players to collect the Crystalline Core.

Location #2 (Central)

It is the same type of puzzle as the first one, however, players have to deal with three spheres now instead of just 2. Get to the location in the picture, right in front of a pile of crates. The angle is taken from the western side, near the phantasmal conch.

Core Puzzle 2 — Location of the second core

Start with the northwestern sphere (#1) and rotate it in this order: Right > Left
Move on to the sphere south of it (#2), and rotate it in this order: Right > Left > Right
Move on to the southeastern one (#3), and rotate it in this order: Left > Left > Right

Similar to the previous core, a cutscene will play and unlock the second core for you to collect.

Location #3 (Eastern)

The northern sphere will be #1 and the southern one will be #2.

Core Puzzle 3 — Location of the third core

It's more or less the same story as before. Start with the northern one (#1) and rotate it in this order: Left > Left > Right
Afterward, move on to the southern one (#2) and do it in this order: Right > Left > Right

Similar to the previous sphere, a cutscene would play and unlock the last sphere. Once players have gathered all three Crystalline Cores, follow the navigation and head to the island north of Broken Isle to insert the cores into the broken machine to fix it.

Quest rewards: Primogems x 30, Mora x 20000, Hero's Wit x 2.

Fun fact: During Immernachtreich Apokalypse (Part 3) and Like Rhyme and Song, the Summer Reverie, the unknown entity that the Traveler speaks to through the Dodocommunication Device and telepathically may be the Dendro Archon Lesser Lord Kusanali.
