Top 5 Best Characters To Support Heizou In Genshin Impact 2.8

Shikanoin Heizou or just Heizou is the newest character in Genshin Impact, released as part of the 2.8 update. He is a 4-star Anemo Catalyst user with the unique ability to fight in close combat with anemo-infused martial art.

1. Xingqiu

Despite being a 4-star character, Xingqiu is considered the best sword user in Genshin Impact. He is the most consistent Hydro support/sub DPS in the game, who can apply Hydro while staying off-field.

With Yelan being a 5-star and recently released, players might not have her yet. Xingqiu, on the other hand, is a staple 4 star and most players should have him. His Hydro application should support Heizou pretty well, allowing him to swirl with the Venerer set to deal extra damage. His Hydro also reacts with Electro, a common element to use in Heizou teams.

2. Yelan

Yelan is pretty much an upgraded version of Xingqiu, with the same Elemental Burst. However, her passive gives Heizou an extra 50% damage, allowing him to be much more effective.

If players are running Heizou with either Yelan or Xingqiu, Fischl would still work, as her Electro application just create Electro Charged and does not interfere with Hydro reactions.

4. Xiangling

Xiangling is one of the strongest and most flexible Sub DPS characters in the game. She has high ATK Speed, high AoE Burst damage with a strong Pyro application that persists even after switching out. There's a reason fans called her "the Pyro Archon" - she performs better than a lot of 5-star characters.

C4 Xiangling is actually SS tier, with her Burst lasting 40% longer. When combined with Heizou, players should be able to swirl and deal a lot of damage with Pyro.

5. Raiden Shogun

Being an Archon, Raiden Shogun is a top-tier Electro character who can deal high damage as both main and sub DPS. Besides her innate high stats, Raiden also has an excellent kit that increases the team's Elemental Burst damage and Energy Recharge.
